Annie. Have some karma. Glad you had a great time (it would be difficult not to I'm sure). And thanks so much for posting the setlist like you promised!! I'm getting excited now. Lucky you got to hear Wasted Time. Surprising they didn't play trani. Oh well. I enjoyed reading about it all.

Mmm... But they seem to only play certain songs of YAYM (I spent some time reading the setlist thread a while back). Typically they play at least one song and its usually either California Waiting, Trani, Joe's Head, Molly's Chambers or Wasted Time. So hopefully because I'm going to 4 shows I'll see all of the songs I want to see. Who knows. I reckon they'll play King of the Rodeo at some of their other shows too... I really just want them to play like all of YAYM and ASH and then a few songs of BOTT and OBTN. Oh well. Shit happens.

Shit happens. yeah i get what you mean man. the ratio of my show was YAYM- 2 ASH- 5 BOTT- 6 OBTN- 8 which i loved but i would have swapped some songs we can't get everything we want! but claire bear, i think OBTN is about 6x better live. i don't particularly like notion on the album, but live is so epic wooooo

Yeah you're probably right about it being better live. I think the live version of "Crawl" is much better than the recorded one - a bit rougher, and more raw... And I would love to see "Closer" as the opening song (I know they did that for some of their shows), can you imagine its black and that guitar part starts and then like they hit the lights and theres a smoke machine and its really atmospheric. Yes, I'm cool - I've thought it all out in my head. Haha. Nah but seriously if they opened with "Closer" in a manner similar to that it would get me so amped up for the rest of the set. I kinda hope they don't play "notion" when I see them but I'd love to see "I want you" and I don't think they've really been playing it this tour either.
Still, I would have them skip a few songs from BOTT if it meant we'd get more songs from ASH and YAYM (especially if they didn't even play Arizona). I reckon lose My Party and Black Thumbnail (I'm not really a black thumbnail fan)... Tbh I'd like to see them change up the songs they play from BOTT but I'm sure they won't. Charmer is a lot of fun what with all the "Oh no"s, and Knocked up is my fave off the album so its a keeper but I'd rather see Ragoo (which I think they have difficulty performing?) as opposed to fans...
Oh I don't know its all too hard. One of these days we will all have to write up our ideal setlists then we will never have to speak of it again.

One more thought. How did those Amnesty drug bins go? I'm really curious to see whether anybody actually threw their drugs out.

^^ FANS MUST STAY thats what got me into KOl haha but i would consider leaving it out for Ragoo. ooo baby imagine that! i didn't even see those! i was literlly like give ticket-run to stage-get to front but i read about them in the paper, apparently they were right in front of loads of police so people would have been so wary to put them in. i don't think they worked tbh, people don't buy pills for a concert and have a change of heart because there is a bin there...

Yeah. Well thats what I think too. Like if you know there are going to be dogs and police there anyway why would you bother taking them if you werent willing to run the risk of getting caught. The thing is they wouldnt be able to leave the bins unattended because theyd be afraid people would steal stuff from them... I don't know it all seems a bit silly really.

Karma for the brilliant review Annie!! Sounds like they had a blast! The gilfriend thing was priceless too couldn't stop laughing when I read it! Me nd my little sister did the predicting what song was next thing at Dublin in December and had these guys beside us amazed!! Proudest moment was when my sister called Wasted Time just before intro started and one of the guys turned and was like "that is amazing she must have been like 11 when that came out!" and I was like "actually she was 9"
