THE SINGLE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
Last night was indescribably good.
I wrote some notes on my phone last night for you guys because I couldn’t sleep
Ahhh
I was right at the front barrier, in between jared and caleb.
Jared was wearing blue jeans, white shirt and a cardi. Caleb clue jeans, his new boots and a white shirt. Matt black jeans and a white t-shirt. Nathan jeans and a white shirt, changed into a singlet for the encore.
But anyway the music.
They were due on stage at 8.15, and by 8.20 nacho was still fiddling with the mic they use in my party so everyone was a tad restless. Then suddenly lacrimosa came on and I started yelling, then people cottoned on that that was there intro music.
I thought the crowd was going to be awful and only know sex on fire because it was a festival, but they were so amazing! Everyone knew every word to every song (except wasted time, I sung triple loud in that one)!

I was yelling trani but no avail
and no Arizona or kotr?
But im hoping they will change the set list a little for there arena shows as this was a festival they had to appeal to the masses. (I would say 99% of people went to rock-it just for KOL tho)
I got a half a setlist. I asked the security guard to get me one, so one of the roadies gave one to him and he threw it to me, but it landed on the floor and me and this girl both grabbed it at the same time. Clearly meant for me but ohwell
, and nether of us would let go. She was like ‘what is it?’ I was like ‘the setlist give it to me you don’t even know what it is’ and she was like ‘yes I do.. I’ll give you my sunglesses for it’ real red raybans. I was like ‘no, I’ll give you my mum for it’
I was only half serious
We ended up going halvsies.

Caleb said some cool stuff:
“I know I say this a lot, and I don’t want to seem like I repeat myself or im just saying it, but I truly wish everyone can be as fortunate as we have been this year. A lot of stuff has happened to us this year, and we don’t forget you ausrtalians have been there since the beginning, so this is for you” then he played revelry I think.
“ya’ll will have to help me sing this one, incase I forget the words”
Then he played SOF
After which he was smiling ear to ear and said
“thankyou so much they made me so proud”
“we were nervous before this, we haven’t played a show in like a week”
And my favourite one:
“you guys are amazing. I can honestly say this is the best show we’ve played all year”
After the encore they all came back on, Nathan first and he stood as his drums, skulled his entire beer, threw it over his head and beamed. It was so cute
They waved to us for ages after the encore, again jared was a little blerghhh and waved for like 1/3 the time as the others then left.
Him and caleb kept mouthing “wow” and stuff to each other during the songs tho so I think he had a good time
Matt was super happy and dancing and singing, hes so cute.
Haha I was standing next to these two girls, and they were like ‘omg omg omg the bassist is so hot omg omg’ and took like a million pictures of him, and they asked me what his name was and I was like ‘jared’, and one of them was like ‘omg he so hot im going to marry him’ and I go ‘that’s his girlfriend over there’ and pointed to alisa.
I’m so horrible haha
Lily wasn’t there? But the others were dancing on the side and lauging loads.
Ok that’s the end, sorry if I bored you but I’m just so excited.

p.s. I was too busy dancing to take photos, but my friend took some, he was at the back tho, but I’ll post them soon
p.p.s:
i was talking to this guy before they started about getting pics and stuff, and i was like "they are my favourite band in the world i really want a pic"
and so throughout the gig he was like laughing at me when i got all emotional about the fact the bucket was being payed etc. haha
but before every song started i told him what the song was going to be
you know how they tune there guitars and play a little twang and you can say "four kicks"
i predicted every single song bar knocked up
