"Gutted, came to Barcelona to see them, just turned up to a white sheet A4 paper saying it was canceled. I haven't a clue whats happened and i demand a refund. Its a disgrace and I will never pay to see them again."
what someone posted on the kol.com forum.
"will never pay to see them again" seems a bit harsh. they must not be a true fan i say.

Wow, if that person had no idea what was going on, I don't think they should've jumped to any conclusions. I know I would be EXTREMELY upset, like inconsolable, but I'd never say that

Eeek, I can understand people being angry, especially if they've travelled maybe but at the end of the day it's just one of those things? I'd still pay to see them. I'm not just saying that cos it's the Kings and I love them, I had a gig I really wanted to go to last week cancelled like an hour before, but at the endo f the day it's out of their hands.. It;s just life?

I know I would be EXTREMELY upset, like inconsolable, but I'd never say that I would be soooo GUTTED and upset if I turned up to find out the show had been canceled. I feel really bad for the people who had tickets. I hope the Kings feel better for tomorrow's show.

I've got a friend in a band who has had to cancel gigs before due to illness. They leave it until as late as they possibly can because they know their fans have made the effort to go and see them and they try so so hard to push themselves to be well enough to just get through that gig.
I'm sure they're just as gutted as people who were supposed to be attending the gig. It might seem annoying to only find out so late but I suppose in reality it should show just how much they did want to play the gig!
Just hope everyone who was going to the gig in barcelona managed to get home safely and that the guys get well soon. At the end of the day peoples health need to take priority over everything else.

bless their hearts. I hope whoever is sick gets to feeling better. I know it's hard not to be upset (to those who were ready for the gig and then hear this news), but wouldn't you rather them cancel than try and suffer through a show not being at their top knotch selves? That's just me, though.
I'm sure the reason they waited this late to call it off was because they were thinking they could pull it off but as time got closer they just couldn't.
FEEL BETTER SOON BOYS!

I really feel for all the fans that went out there and paid to see them and stuff - I would be so crushed. The guys wouldn't have cancelled unless they really felt the need to though - Caleb played quite a few shows last year where he was obviously ill. They wouldn't have cancelled unless absolutely necessary I reckon. I'm not surprised they are ill with all this hard work they've been doing though and I hope the two members who aren't well get better soon!

I feel bad for the fans, but I'm sure the boys wouldn't have cancelled "willy-nilly" so to speak. I just hope it's nothing too serious. They've been working themselves like dogs for months. Bless them. Get well soon, boys!

Alright! After queuing for hours, the security staff started saying the gig had been postponed. This happened at 20:10, so imagine, I was like "are you fucking kidding me?!" Anyway, then they printed some papers which said "due to sudden illness of Caleb Followill the show has been postponed". I didn't get angry, or sad, or anything, I just could not believe it... Most of the people even started laughin, but I guess it was more of a nervous laughter, if you know what I mean. I was hugely disappointed, but I know they will re-schedule the gig, and I'll be there, so it's not a big problem. However, many people had travelled from the UK, France and god knows where... they have paid for the plane tickets, the hotel rooms, etc. and I don't think they are coming to Barcelona again to see them when they finally play here. The good thing is we managed to meet Nacho!! He was coming in and out the venue, so we waited for him and when he finally came out I was like "Nacho! hello!"... We took a picture with him, well, actually a very kind girl took it for us. My sister couldn't stop smiling, and she hardly said a word, and I forgot my English all of a sudden, so I was speaking like a bloody spaz!! Anyway, we had a bit of a chat with him and he is a very nice guy! So, we couldn't see the Kings, but we met Nacho. And the gig is not cancelled, but postponed... It's not thaaat bad!

Oh yeah, and Nacho told us that Caleb was throwing up, poor thing... I guess he just had many tapas or too much Rioja... I don't think it's anything serious, but I hope he gets well soon.

aw babyblue, you sound like a true fan, so understanding! i would have been soooo disappointed, of course. but i would still love them nonetheless.
the boys are only human, they are bound to have sick days, we all take sick days from work.
nacho is the best! i'm glad he was able to explain to the fans a little bit...
thanks for the report, much karma for that!

I had a feeling it was Caleb. Can't imagine what using your vocals like that day after day does to your system.
