ok so honestly..i agree with everything jen says..smite me all you want..but that girl speaks the FRIGGIN truth..
if you were there..you would know how we feel right now..it's almost like you were in a long term relationship with someone and all of a sudden..you caught your boyfriend cheating on you..this may be an absurd statement but think about it..
i have felt like i have invested LOADS into this band..and for them to go on and bitch about how American fans dont appreciate them...well buddy..go fukin look OUTSIDE!!!!!! we were waiting for TWO HOURS in the cold (believe or not) and NOTHING...now this is not a bitter fan jus spewin out her anger...i legit feel like the American fans are being slapped in the face.
like..wtf do these boys want from us..im sick of makin excuses for them as to why they wont even let us SEE them walk to their tour bus..like do they think that we're gunna maul them? im sorry..you're not the beatles.
ok yea..im bein bitchy..the most bitchy i have ever been..and im sober so i have no excuse for this but whatever..i truly feel as tho my love for them is dwindiling..i truly do love their music but my love for the band is decreasing with every gig that they blow off their fans..like i do legit appreciate how they give some shout outs to their older fans..but like at least friggin let us see ur lovely faces outside!!
ok..maybe i am bein absurd in my demands..but in all fairness..they cant friggin bitch about their US fans not givin them lovin when we CLEARLY wait outside for them..like seriously..either stop complaining about us or fukin make the same effort we are makin for you!!!
maybe i wouldnt be this mad if i didnt sacrifice a weekend of IMPORTANT homework for them..whatever..the music was fuckin fantastic as usual..they friggin do know how to rock out...but im gettin a wee bit fed up with their ego..and if they dont have an ego..then i think we deserve some sort of excuse as to why they're not even givin their fans the time of day..
once again...smite me all you want..but this has been a feelin that has been brewin since MSG and it was bjus got brought to the surface again..i dunno but i truly do feel like it is a slap in the face...
think about it..if we can belive in the fact that they read this forum..then it hurts even more that they read it and STILL dont even give us the littlest of waves at the gigs..like just let us even see you WALK to ur bus..that's it..that's all we want..we don't want a fukin interview..we just want to see that you are NORMAL guys who do NORMAL things..
last time i checked...normal guys dont friggin sneak away from legit fans..but whatevs..that's my two cents..

I'm sorry to hear this you guys. It's very disheartening, knowing how much we are spending on this band. I'm still sour about MSG, and I don't care what anyone says, but I'm still kinda ticked about it. I really don't get what's going on, but it's enough to kind of piss me off slightly. I can only hope that Friday and Saturday fair different, but I'm starting to lose hope...  *sighs* |

Honestly, I totally understand where you guys are coming from. I understand the anger.
But you also gotta understand they aren't obligated to give anyone anything except a good show.
This has happened all the time with countless bands. Some big, some small.
They were probably too fucking drunk to want to come and shmooze with people.
To let this determine how you feel about the band as a whole is ridiculous. That means you went in there expecting more than you should have.
I am not trying to be overtly mean, just knock a bit of sense into you two. Cause seriously...

aww, cassie i know how you feel. it's kind of the same for us aussie fans in a way. the boys talk about how much they love their australian fans, but at all the australian shows they snuck away, and nobody got to meet them. i think that maybe they've stopped the whole meeting fans after the gig thing because of their successes now. even if they're not as big where you are as they are in aus, they probably just want to treat all oftheir fans fairly. even if it does mean letting us all down in the end. but just look on the positive side, you got to go to a KOL gig. that's awesome. you got a great setlist. much better than brisbane's, trust me. anyways, have some karma  |

maybe if you were there in the cold for 2 hours..you would understand..and it's not like this was the first time they left their fans out in the cold...once again..i know this sounds bitchy..but this is truly how i feel right now..
to reinforce what me and jen felt before..we didnt expect ANYTHING beyond a simple wave or even just to see them walk to their bus..but for them to blatently avoid us and have security lie to their fans is just honestly an egotistical move..admit it..

Cassie twittered Taper Jean Girl then My Party... Don't think they opened with those though... LOL shes probably not twittering every song like pagalawala. down with sleves was correct about set list, i was next to her the entire time and she twitterd constantly. it was a great set list and an over amazing show. the audience was extra reponsive and REALLY into the set as opposed to saturday's show. caleb was extra sassy but not chatty. here is where things go down hill. about less than 30 fans waited behind barriers and extra security by the tour buses. we all waited for over 2 hours in the FREEZING cold. the crowd was calm and nice, some securiy guards made nice with about 4 of us. At around 12:30 he came out to tell us the band had already left. He then went to the 4 of us and told us that in fact two members had left earlier and two were leaving now. He said the band new exactly where the fans were but were instead decided to take an alternate exit thus avoiding any interaction with their fans. We ran to where he said the remaining two were exiting only to see their real tourbus leaving. I ran only to fall and a couple of others also gave up. It was devestating that this band that we all loved went to such lengths to avoid even walking by their fans. I am honestly really sad and hurt right now. I don't know what to think or feel. It's not as though we were asking for a meet and greet or personal time, seeing them wave at us would have meant so much to all of us but instead they took a blatant effort to avoud their fans. I feel a trend going on, thinking about MSG, the paris show I read about , and their two nights in boston in which they avoided fans at all costs. I am actually a little tipsy right now because i went to drown my sorrows. I did not need for any of them to personally meet me and i know that everyone else felt the same way. we waited in the cold and would have been happy for just a glimpse. i don't know what's going through their minds, because they have complained in the past about their lack of fans in the US, and now that they have a radio hit and selling out arenas they act as if their fans mean nothing to them. this may seem like a harsh statement but this is coming from someone who loves/loved(?) this band with my soul. it hurts that they seem to act as if their fans are nothing to them. i will not lie and kiss their asses when they show no consideration for their fans at all, to go to the length of avoiding any contact with the very people who spend money to see you speakes volumes as to what they feel about us and what they think about themselves. anyone who knows me on this thread knows that i have been a very dedicated fan who never speaks ill of these four boys, but i don't know how i feel right now... I am honestly really sad right now  |

We have been fortunate enough to have met them a few times but because we saw them before they hit it big, as soon as Sex on Fire came out Accurate and I were already braving ourselves for things to be different and they were. This is what happens with almost every band when they hit it big, things just aren't the same when you were a small band. I mean think about it had they come out and just waved im sure they wold have had some fans bitch and moan that they only waved at them and that they should have stopped and taken pictures with the fans. In the end it all comes down to the music. |

Wow and it is IN NO WAY ridiculous to feel personally hurt by this! Cassie and Jenn, fuck, I feel the exact same way hearing these stories and I wasn't even there! Exactly BECAUSE they DO bitch about their lack of US fans and then there are people waiting in extreme weather for hours just to catch a glimpse and nothing??? How ON EARTH is that something not to get upset over?  I'm sorry but now I'm pissed because these girls and everyone else have EVERY RIGHT to feel this way. |

They don't know whether the person sanding in the cold is a completely sane loyal fan, or a completely insane fan. They didn't want their fans to see them leave so there would be no disappointment. For this very reason! Imagine if you had been left under the impression that they all had just left the venue, like the security had told you... How would you be feeling right now? They exited another door so that fans wouldn't feel rejected! You weren't even suppose to see them leave the venue!!!!
Trust me, I understand completely how it feels. I have stood outside plenty of shows waiting for bands. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. When I have met the Kings, they are always nice. When they have just walked past us and ignored us I don't take offense because I understand that they aren't on stage anymore. They aren't working. I understand where you are coming from but all I am saying is DON'T LET THIS CHANGE THE WAY YOU FEEL ABOUT THE BAND! Don't think this will be the last time this is going to happen. You are going to 3 more shows on the tour! That's three more chances! Plus, you got Matthew and Nathan, the two most elusive of the four!
I also get that this isn't the first time this has happened. But what about all the times they have?
Also, all security are told to lie when asked about the artists. They can't say the artist is still in the venue. I have been told so many times the artist is gone by security. Security are told never to say yes they are there because frankly, venue security know absolutely nothing.
Perhaps, I should just let you vent... In a few days this will all be small beans.

When I was waiting for them to come out, the security guard told us they had left, and I thought it was just him bullshitting us, but now I fear that it was actually the guys  OK I have a lot to say about this but it's 1 in the morning so I'll refrain...but damn... |

You weren't even suppose to see them leave the venue!!!! ok so here's the thing..i totally dont know where you're comin from because i am obviously more disappointed that we DIDNT see them leave the venue..and im know im not alone on this one..but isnt that the point of standing outside the venue? to see them leave? by them deceiving their fans and leaving in an undisclosed exit..they are disappointing us more bc they are basically lieing to our faces as for the security guard..the one we were chattin it up with was the head of security..he also knew the girl we were with..so he wouldnt lie to us..so he told us the truth from the beginning and told us how the BAND asked him to lie...once again..take that as you will..but we assume that to be a fukin slap in the face to the dedicated Boston fans..as few as we may be and as for lovin them for their music..let's be real..clearly this band is so much more than their music..a lot of people have become fans because of the aura of these 4 boys...if they were assholes from the beginnin, would ppl have loved them? no..not so much..it's the fact that they seemed so chill and lovin to their fans..but im sorry..to not even WAVE to fans..wtf.. |
