I think this is about the time in most bands careers that they punt out a greatest hits record and im just wondering if everyone thinks KOL will do the same??
They definitely hav enough hits to justify it and i think while most mainstreamers are on the bandwagon it would be a good way of introducing their older stuff to newbies and also make them a pile of dosh
What u think??

I hope they don’t do anything like this, but that’s just my opinion!
I don’t think they actually need to do a Greatest Hits compilation do they?!

I think it's way too soon. Technically, they haven't had that many "hits" yet (and by "hit" I mean big selling, chart-topping songs). They do, however, have many, many GREAT songs!

It depends on if the record label thinks it would make them money, how many albums they have left in their current contract/if they wanna sign a new deal with their current label or a different label and if they are serious about a new studio album at the end of the year.
That kinda stuff will factor into the equation.

I would buy it but I definetly don't want them to release one anytime soon, if not ever.

Wouldn't be too keen on a regular Greatest Hits album myself but an album made from different live recordings of their "hits" would be genius! I love my Live playlist on my iPod but trying to get really good quality recordings is hard - a live album tho would sort that right out!

I don't think a Greatest Hits would really suit KOL if that makes sense? A Live album on the other hand - hell yes!

I agree, they're not the "greatest hits" type of band. I can't see them doing it any time soon, if ever

I'm so happy they're still so into making new music, it would be a shame to see them (or rather their record company) cashing in on their current success.
Can't wait for future good stuff to spring from the boys!

I think it'll happen one day. Don't see anything wrong with a greatest hits to be honest, another album with more cover art and probably a couple new songs as bonus tracks. Not as good as a new studio album and right now wouldn't be the best time but yeah, maybe after another 2 or 3 i can see it happening.

that's what i envisage, let's add some previously unreleased bonus tracks tagged on the end, would be cool seeing some cover art, on the whole though not my cup of tea.

A lot of bands seem to sign 5 album deals...
and recently a lot of bands have been saying goodbye to their record label, but in most cases the bands do this because they feel like they are being controlled too much.
I wouldn't think KOL have any issues with artistic freedom seeing as all they ever seem to say is, we are making the music we wanna make...
I'm guessing a new deal has already been negotiated or will be soon and I don't see why the Kings would leave their label. They seem to be going strong with them. I would expect though that this deal will have it written in that of the next five albums (if its another five album deal), one has to be a greatest hits. Maybe KOL will negotiate and say ok we hear ya but we'd much prefer to do a live album...
I'm speculating HUGELY here and going off on one hahaha, my apologies!
