It says on their bio on their website that its about a vampire doesnt it??
This song is just incredible, it can either give me the warm fuzzies or make me feel really spooked and shaky... Very powerful tune!!

Yep, Caleb said somewhere that it's about a vampire. I think it's really great and powerful song.

I've read somewhere that it might be on the new moon soundtrack [twilight 2]
But i doubt it
Plus it would ruin kings of leon i think

In the NME Kings of Leon fans magazine it doesn't mention vampires once.
It says something like being stranded with a murderer who feels he is in love with the victim or something along those lines.
There are vampiric hints in the song though:
Spooky town - obviously
2000 years of chasing - vampires allegedly live forever or whatever
Vein strangling couldn't sound more vampiric if it tried
Fiery sun - vampires allegedly can't be exposed to sunlight
Also the guitars have an eerie chill to them.
