I guess it is difficult for us to understand when they literally are the Kings over here with regard to their exposure. I suppose it's also difficult for them to comprehend how different it is. In some countries they are Gods, yet at home they don't have that mass appeal. I totally know where you're coming from and you're dead right to feel peeved but sending them message to their personal myspace pages just wouldn't be my thing but then again who am I to comment honey! x I agree. They didn't need to say thank you to anyone the way they have. So why have a go at them for not thanking the US too? It was just a sweet little touch on the back of an extremely successful UK tour. If you have a go at them, they'll just think "why bother" in the future. Don't take it personally. They were probably just talking to their management here and mentioned it. I think they've done a nice thing and we should be thanking them back for all the amazing music etc they've supplied us.

i haven't gotten this in my inbox either. and i understand your point of view sxesadie. we don't have the same level of energy at the shows here but it's also made it really easy to meet them and get pictures with them. i'm not complaining about that! i think they generalize immensely when they say people don't like them in america. there are those of us who love them! and i'm sure that everyone who's ever heard them in the UK and Ireland isn't in love with them. both opinions are generalizations. and i like knowing that i'm an exception to that.

When it comes down to it, we probably have it better than anyone else because we can easily meet them and the venues are still small and intimate. but there are positives and negatives to everything I guess.

Thank you and that's true. Like I said before it's not just the note I'm upset about its the entire generalization that no one here cares. And as a fan I don't like that my favorite band has never said anything good about its American fans, that's all I'm saying. But I'm not upset at all by the venue sizes that they play here, that's just a blessing to us Americans that they play small venues because meeting them very easy!

Yeah! I definitely think they're just talking about the majority of people in America who don't like them. And it also probably is because they're touring here just now, and it's been a brilliant tour for them. I'm sure if they were touring in America around Christmas they would do the same. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Kings of Leon Thanks for an amaaazing show in Glasgow x

[Thank you and that's true. Like I said before it's not just the note I'm upset about its the entire generalization that no one here cares. And as a fan I don't like that my favorite band has never said anything good about its American fans, that's all I'm saying. But Sadie that's simply not true - they HAVE said good things about American fans, and on the last U.S. tour they frequently thanked the audience for being there and making them feel 'at home' at last. They've often said that at the end of the day they are an American band and they want to be appreciated in America, by American fans. They might jokingly generalise and say "we've only sold 17 records in America" but they also thank the dedicated American fans who have supported them and continue to support them. I don't think thanking the UK after an extremely successful year (Glasto headliner, No. 1 album and single, sold-out arena tour) means they are automatically dissing the U.S. They didn't mention the rest of Europe either, or Australia, or New Zealand...or hell, even Ireland, and they're in Ireland at the moment!!! Yep, they might wanna remember that! Mind you, they've never made that particular boo-boo in the press or on stage before (unlike Bloc Party - anyone remember when they said, "it's good to be back home in the UK" at Oxegen?! Went down like a ton of bricks! God, they were so embarrassed!!! )

The only similiarity we have with the UK is we drive on the same side of the road and we both speak English! But hell we even have a different currency! And we don't have a queen! Unless you count Bono
