But if you are sending it, then definitely send it to Caleb for sure. He gets on a lot I think, and read that message I sent him almost right away A little off subject, but: does he? I mean, he hasn't accepted me yet. Maybe I should put on a pic of myself in sexy lingerie instead of some random pic, should that do the trick?

Hhaha I guess his accepting streak is over but he does check his messages, just doesn't respond to them. same goes for Nathan.

I know we all witter on in here about their looks/sexiness etc, however all I can say to that message is: Guys, thanks for the music. Thanks for the fourth album, and the three before that, thanks for the amazing live shows and thanks for being gentlemen when you did come face to face with us freaks! Hope they have a great Christmas at home. PS: Not to Kings of Leon - Ireland is not in the UK, the south at least. Some of us are rather touchy about that (War of Independence and all that!) It's like saying Canadian people are American!

I don't want to cause any offence but I think the myspace message thing is not a good idea. Perhaps fans in the US will get a Christmas message soon. I'd say the reason the UK (ahem and Ireland) got one is because they are finishing up here for Christmas in Belfast on Saturday night. I would like to think they are genuinely appreciative of their real American fans like you guys but aside from that their own country hasn't been too kind to them over the years. You only have to read the latest NME article to know that. Then they come to UK and Ireland, they're adored by thousands and they gigs almost cause mass hysteria.
I just don't think it's a good idea to be snotty with them.
It's only my opinion though!

Ah I know and we're all entitled to our opinion and all but I just don't think it's a good move. However, each to their own.

I just don't think it's a good idea to be snotty with them. It's only my opinion though! This is the thing, out of all the interviews I’ve read and watched with Kings I don’t think I have ever heard them say one good thing about their American fans. I get that the UK was the first to embrace them and that’s fine. But they act as if here no one ever bought their albums or went to their shows until now and that’s not true! A few friends of mine followed them through the Southeast during their Aha Shake days! Kings being from America knows how hard it is for small bands to get on the radio or sell out shows because our music scene here is a lot different from other places. You have to have a certain pop sound or catchy sound to get on the radio because that’s what the masses like. For smaller bands to get big they have to rely on word of mouth (which is how I found them). So I just don’t know why they get pissed that here they aren’t on “Coldplay level” because they have fans who risk their jobs and drive from all over the country just to see them play. It may be hard for UK fans to understand our anger but it sucks when you love and support a band who refuses to respect you just because the entire country isn’t fawning over them. Also I don’t plan on being snotty to them in the message, just truthful and tell them they have very dedicated fans and it sucks when they don’t even acknowledge us. Maybe I am making a bad decision by sending a message but if I don’t let them know how I feel I will be more pissed at myself and I can’t have myself be mad at me lol.

I guess it is difficult for us to understand when they literally are the Kings over here with regard to their exposure. I suppose it's also difficult for them to comprehend how different it is. In some countries they are Gods, yet at home they don't have that mass appeal. I totally know where you're coming from and you're dead right to feel peeved but sending them message to their personal myspace pages just wouldn't be my thing but then again who am I to comment honey! x
