God, when I read what they said about them doing faster, edgier songs my heart skipped a beat. Here’s hoping for a 5th album like that!

I FOUND THE SCANS YOU POSTED CHLOE  great read! the christmas dancing.. lol! your getting karma soon  ^^^ i did like SOF but i get a bit pissy when i hear it 10 times a day on every radio station around and all i hear is KOL KOL from people who used to diss them so SOF now has some issues with me. probably gonna get flamed for saying this but i have bigger problems, and its my personal opinion too!Im the same with SOF, i always hear it on the radio! they're gonna make me hate it!! they have about 10 songs on rotation, so annnoying!! oh and your not gonna get flamed! pfft, and if you do thats really sad. i have to agree, my excitement from all the 'gonna sound similar to ASH' claims were built up a little to high, and i was slightly dissapointed with OBTN (only about half the album really appeals to me) but that first post has got me excited all over again!! hopefully its all they claim and more  |

glad you both like SOF. i'm relieved  i guess i'm lucky cause i get to choose what i wanna listen to, i gave up on radio one years ago for the exact reasons you're suffering from. i can't help but think it's a good thing that they're getting more airplay though, as long as the band know what it is and what it'll bring and keep it in proportion and don't start manipulating their talent and what they release to always satisfy that audience. you can't deny if there's a kol fan out their who's been living under a rock and somehow hasn't managed to hear of kol before, hears one of the obtn singles and gets to feel how we feel for the music, that that could possibly be a bad thing. it's minefield moving into the big time. but look what they've done, it all ultimately, the way i perceive it anyway, means that they're creating more opportunities for themselves to really do what they wanna do. as long as i say, they somehow manage to not let it affect them and continue to be true to themselves. it's like what caleb said, they wanna change the popular movement, and you can't do that by standing back, whinging and being a pussy about it. you gotta get in there! let's not shoot them down for doing what we want them to do. express themselves and make the music they want to make. i understand the mixed feelings. but i think it's gonna be alright. eventually these hangers on will piss off anyway. yr a kol fan i'm thinking we're gonna have to get used to it and dnt beat on obtn too much, there's something there. xxxxx |

Yeah i'm one of those fans I am glad SOF was played on VH1 and Mtv though,cuz otherwise i wouldn't be into them now! They dont play them on any radio station i've ever heard,and it doesnt bother me cuz i dont listen to the radio enough anyway,i'm like you,i choose what i listen to,and i dont overplay my stuff to where i'll get sick of it. |

I am excited about the news but feel the need to have a moan... about NME none the less. Has anyone else found it disappointing that The Boosh got like 4/5 pages (can't remember which) and that The Kings only got 2??? yeah i agree, dont like nme much, and their reviewers are crap etc, and their biast as hell !! but isnt it great news about what caleb said !!  yea i also agree with others above on this thread, too many to mention, but it got my heart racing aswell !! and it was caleb who said it, not jared !!! |

i cant see THEM waiting another year+ b4 they even start recording, they cant do it, relax that is and hav time off !! i HOPE its recording middle of 09 and maybe released end of yr ! get thru their tours and fests then on wi the job !!!!
