New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is back for their big 40th anniversary two-weekend festival and they’ll be doing it in style with the massive list of artists announced this morning. The first weekend (April 24-26) is highlighted by Dave Matthews Band, James Taylor, Joe Cocker, Earth Wind and Fire, Wilco, Spoon, Erykah Badu, Better Than Ezra, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings and Pete Seger among many others.
The second weekend (April 30-May 3) has Aretha Franklin, Ben Harper, Kings of Leon, Tony Bennett, The Neville Brothers, Emylou Harris, Common, Dr. John, Buddy Guy, The O’Jays, Touts and the Maytalls, Allen Toussaint and dozens more.
Our Take
Jazz Fest is one of the oldest and biggest festivals in the country and this deep and eclectic artist line-up makes a trip to New Orleans a must. The popular time to make the drive down to NOLA for College Students is Mardi Gras, but if you want to see New Orleans at its finest, go to Jazz Fest.
Sounds awesome!!
I wanna go!!!
