Trani, I found it really hard to get into it, then I saw it live and gained a lot of respect for it, I love it now

Knocked Up and Trani. but in a general way I have to listen to the musics more than once to like it.

It seems weird to me that Trani has been cited so much. I wonder why, because I've always loved it so much and I know it fits in to a tradition of songwriting that I've always enjoyed. I'm wondering whether it perhaps is just different from what people were used to listening to? I'd be interested if anyone wants to comment.
Soft. Hated it. Didn't even listen to it for a couple of years. I just hated its sound - too plinky. However since coming on here I've been nudged to give it another go (thanks to Claire/Schnucams) I now have a lot of respect for it - it must be one of the most sarcastic tunes I know and words and music work cleverly together. My opinion. Wouldn't say I love it though.

I think the reason I didn't like it at first is because it isn't a typical 'verse, chorus, verse, bridge' type of song, you know? It's like Knocked Up; a little hard to follow/get into because it doesn't have a set pattern
that's why it takes a few listens.

Velvet Snow...the whole first part before caleb sings really put me off, so i was like *mmmno* but then i actually listened to it, and it's the best fucking song ever...and knocked up...when i first heard it i found the *i don't care what nobody says we're gonna have a baby* really hilarious so i didn't take the song seriously...but after a while i was like OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SONG! and The Runner aswell, it was way to different for me but now i love it...and yeah that's all i can think of...

Trani, Black Thumbnail & Taper Jean Girl. I never really 'got' trani for ages and then one day it just clicked. Black thumbnail i just never really listened all the way through, for some reason i was always like NEXT! But i am actually in love with it now. Its my 3rd most played KOL song. annnd taper jean girl, i never really understood why people loved it so much, but now i do too!

The Runner, at first I thought it was boring but now I find it really atmospheric. It also makes me laugh because I fell asleep once listening to my mp3 and when the last echoey line of 'our time as we go' came on it almost killed me with fright!!

Trani - it was the video of them at T in the Park 2007 that made me notice it.
Manhattan - it was last night in Glasgow that did it for me, and what Caleb said before it. It actually made me cry.
