OMG just back from Nottingham and all i can say is absolutely AMAZING.. i thought the Brixton Academy show was my favourite KOL gig but last night just topped it... thought it was never going to end & they played every song under the sun! Was at the front on Matt's side and they were soo on form.. The peeps all around me were definitely real fans.. great crowd!!
Oh Cambylass they did play 'Slow night so long' but it was before the encore. Trani, Milk, Arizona & Knocked up completly blew me away!
Cant wait until Sunday now as going to see them in Glasgow..then have Manchester, Dublin, Belfast & Paris in February...Im a tad obsessed..lol :-)

There actually isn't a word invented yet to describe the gig!
Anything positive preceeded with *fucking* just to accentuate it!

omg ur sooo lucky ur seeing them all those times!! i would love to do that! have u noticed if the like say "waw u guys are the best crowd" to ike every place or anything? lol do tell us at the end what gig u thought was the best.

Last night was mindblowing! 2hr+ set, I don't know how they did it! Cold Desert blew me away, it's quite haunting live, so beautiful! Nice to hear California and Pistol too, nice surprises! And Nate's singing in Revelry was legendary! Arizona and Trani as well, couldn't have asked for more! Well maybe Happy Alone would have been nice, but I'm not complaining!  They were so sweet after the show as well, did anyone else stay around to meet them? They came out around 12.45am and they all came out and took pics and signed a ton of stuff. Jared was sooo drunk and couldn't hold his beer and sign my CD inlay at the same time, there was a lot of swearing and juggling but he finally worked it out! I asked for a picture and he said 'a picture of what?'  Caleb and Nathan were smart, wrapped up in hats and scarves, it was freezing! Matt takes the best pictures, he's so awesome with people! Your wait definitely was worth it.. were there many people waiting? x I'd say there was probably about 30 people waiting when we got to the gates after the show but a lot of people got cold and went so by the time the guys came out there was about 15 of us, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, no one screaming or fainting or anything! |

Anyone else notice Jared was beaming during Use Somebody~with the crowd singing along so loud. ^ I agree Caleb was so gracious all night and truely was grateful to be up on that stage. Loved the comment they never expected us to make them this big. Waited after the show til 12:30am (they were inside celebrating) there was only 10-15 of us there, and they all came out at once. When Caleb heard us shout them over he couldn't believe we were all out there in the cold and said to security he wanted to come over, and the rest of the band agreed. first Nathan came over and happily posed for photos. then Jared done his turn of signing and photos, then Caleb (who's foot i stood on! whoops!) One of the fans there lost his trousers during sex on fire and ended up having a top wrapped around his legs! (must be ill today with the frostbite!!!) He told Caleb that sex on fire is so good it makes you lose your trousers (or something to that effect) and Caleb posed for piccie with him and his mates, during which Caleb said something like "don't you be getting out your thing!" (seen as he wasn't wearing much!!!) i was laughing so much friggin missed Matthew and only realised he was there as they walked away. Caleb wished us a merry christmas, all in all they were with us must of been 10mins. Well worth the frostbite today. Got three photos, the one of nathan is shite, my camera the second they came out malfunctioned (or i did!!) and luckily another fan took my pic of me and caleb) will post my pics when laptop is working!!! They were really sweet for coming over and genuinely happy with the way the night went. A band "on the verge of break up" yeah right!!!!!! |
