Only booking flights today so ive got no tickets as yet. Not really sure what ill do for tickets, ticketmaster only seem to have rubbish seats left, also id much rather be standing. Cant imagine sitting for a kol gig after standing at all previous ones.
So really is there any hope getting into standing area with seated tickets? Also will there many touts in NY selling tickets on the day, not sure what the set up is like in the US compared to Ireland and the UK

I'd say your chances of getting into the standing area are good. And my guess is that there will be tons of touts in NYC!! I was curious as to why you have -2 karma, so I read all of your past posts. Very interesting. You've been on here quite a long time!!

I'd say your chances of getting into the standing area are good. Not unless you're willing to pay $700 or more per ticket. And there's no chance of you sneaking down during the show, security is tight at MSG. You mentioned sitting for the whole show. MSG patrons don't sit. Even in the seats people stand the whole show, usually. Unless you're in the 400s where the people who dont know the band very well.

Cheers for the reply. My only concern is that there will be barriers separating seating and standing areas. Looks like the layout of msg is geared as a seated venue opposed to standing which is a shame really. Still cant wait, was in New York when the White Stripe played msg last Summer and regret not going so this will more than make up for it. Ya signed up ages ago, never really post though, id imagine the whole karma thing is down to my solitary U2 post. Sure the bad karma won't stop me seeing kol in Dublin, London and New York in the next few months. Unless i get hit by a bus or the plane drops out of the sky. Dam ye bad karma no gooders

Doesn't look too promising getting into the pit in that case. Ill keep a look out for tickets on the web in the mean time. justbuytickets.com seems to have plenty for sale and the ticketmaster exchange site might seems to have a few going too, just a matter of getting good tickets now. Thanks!!

Mattyjoe is right, it really doesn't matter if you're in the pit because the whole place is gonna be electric. Msg is always full of energy.

I have a question about msg too - do they sell beverages - specifically, water and wine?
