hi I've been to see them twice this year and both times I've managed to meet them at the after party, second time was pointless cause they were swarmed by babes and they must of thought she's happy alone.
anyhow seeing them in my home town in Dec, so maybe it will be 3rd time lucky and they'll write a song about me.

All three shows I've had the opportunity - been within 5 feet of them afterwards but I'm too star-struck and shy. CRAP!! I think i'm afraid my tongue would swell and wouldn't work and they'd be like 'what a goof'. I walked up to John Paul Jones of Led Zep at an Elastica show one time and introduced myself and that's it. Couldn't thing of sh*t to talk about and walked off. And I'm a huge Zep fan and have been for 20 years. oh well.

Wow...I'd freak out not because he was a member of Led Zeppelin, but because he totally used to look like Nikolai Fraiture..and that's even cooler to me...because Nikolai is the coolest man in rock and roll...no matter what anyone says about his mohawk, crooked nose, and 70 cent jackets.

No idea who Nikolai is but obviously from the photo, yea he definitely looks like John Paul Jones.
I guess the next most famous person I've met is Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel. Not a big fan of his music but he's huge in the country world. His studio was down the street from me and an old ex of mine worked for him for years.

i think it's just plain luck. in my case, bad luck i saw them back in may and after the show, my friend and i circled the venue for a good hour trying to "accidentally" bump into them. word on the street was that they'd show up at the bar right next door. i can't tell you how many times we passed that window, casually glancing through to see if they were inside. finally, i look to my right and i see nathan sitting at some booth, literally right on the other side of the glass, inches away from me!!! i act like i don't see anything, though i have the biggest smirk on my face. i nudge my friend and discreetly notify this other group of kids who'd been circling the block, too. then, we go back to the large window, where all four of them are sitting. shamelessly, we all gawk at them through the window, not one of us yet 21 or even in possession of a fake ID. a couple other girls who'd been waiting come by and one of them is old enough to go in, so she offers to get in there and ask them to come out so some fans could, at the very least, tell them how much they loved the show. she goes in and we stand there outside the window looking disgustingly hopeful. she comes back alone and gives us the message: "sorry, we're gonna go play some pool now." we watch them get up and walk to the back of the bar and we all continue to stand there, heartbroken, like little orphan children that didn't get picked by the rich sterile couple. finally, about 25 minutes later, we walk away. running into nacho, we spill our hearts out to him and lets us take a picture with him. gotta love nacho!! anyways, there's my sorrowful tale, illustrating how truly pathetic i am. and by pathetic, i definitely mean amazingly dedicated and loyal kings of leon fan...
