So here's the first of those four articles I translated. The original one can be found [http://www.morgenpost.de/printarchiv/kultur/article1041656/Die_Fans_toben_Kings_of_Leon_zeigen_sich_kuehl.html.
I did my best at translating...
Fans going crazy, the band was pretty cold
That's what you call a successful family business: The three Followill brothers Caleb, Jared, Nathan and their cousin Matthew conquer the world since a few years as Kings Of Leon.
They are the band at the moment. For their on stage performance they won a Grammy. Brit Awards as Best International Band and for the Best International Album add up to that.
Even the associate bashing Oasis boss Noel Gallagher called Kings Of Leon his new favorite band. They released four records with growing success. In Great Britain they sell more records than Coldplay.
Now they're in Germany for two gigs (Berlin and Köln). The Columbiahalle is sold out. Young girls swarm next to grown up men. It's surprising that such a band has fans from such different generations as they mix up blues, country and southern rock in their music. Styles that aren't usually compatible with youths.
The stage is simple: some spot lights, flickering fairy lights. The Followill brothers act pretty tight-lipped. The fans dance, cheer and chant anyway. Hits as "Sex On Fire", "Charmer" or "Molly's Chamber" affect them. There's even a little bit of Neil Young in the air as they play more calm songs as "Knocked Up".
Stupidly the sound is miserable this evening. Und that the band leaves stage after only one hour (and come back for just one encore) also doesn't show much guts. As big as their songs might be - that evening was nothing more than routine.

And the second one from here: www.bz-berlin.de/kultur/musik/kings-of-leon-muede-koenige-article378936.htmlKings Of Leon: Tired kings
Kings Of Leon - a fantastic band on CD, live at Columbiahalle it was only middle-rate.
Until now Kings Of Leon have released four predominantly brilliant rock records with a lot of feeling for melodies and with their youngest work "Only By The Night" they cleared some nominations. Actually those are the best conditions for a good concert, but you never stop learning.
The Followill family (brothers Caleb, Jared and Nathan Followill and cousin Matthew) seemed a little weary in sold out Columbiahalle this Monday night. Hardly any power on stage. Leaden. What powerfully rocks on CD seemed to be amazingly empty live.
If you believe the youngest rumors of the music business, the sons of an itinerant preacher from Tennessee are odds with each other. That would at least be the explanation why the brothers pass some parts of the concert almost stock-still and keep the distance from each other.
How could it be different, after half an hour Kings Of Leon played "Sex On Fire", their biggest hit, a blockbuster set to music, that every rock band would be proud of. Great atmosphere, wavy masses and a little action ahead. But there's already the next frustration on its way: "The Bucket" of their second record "Aha Shake Heartbreak". An indie rock classic, great melody, great power - if it's not played to slow. Und so the concert of an actually amazing band ripples.. Everything pretty blightly. After 60 minutes they were finished, as encore they came up with two songs of "Because Of The Times" "Knocked Up (another late highlight of the evening) and "Charmer". They didn't even play "King Of The Rodeo", one of their best songs.
At least: Most of the fans seemed to be thrilled after the show, sang along sometimes and singer Caleb said thank you in the meantime: "You’re the best crowd on the tour".
But who went to Maximo Park's show in Berlin the same night, surely made the better choice.

Hey, das ist ja echt witzig wie viele deutsche Kol-Fans hier sind. Wer ist denn heute abend noch beim Radiokonzert dabei? Und wer fährt morgen zum Konzert nach Köln? Vielleicht sieht man sich ja.

I think this is what they recorded yesterday , they were at the t,v yesterday. But TRL - Total Request Live - is recorded live. And it's in Berlin not Koln (if you're referring to what I think you're referring to on myspace ). Dunno for sure Frufroobus, apparently there's nothing on the German MTV site yet.

ich bin auch nicht dabei...... leider....... I will watch the concert tonite on my computer. But I can't record it, because I have only my office notebook and I have no administrator rights to install a programm to record streamlines.... I will record it when it will be broadcastet on tv in march on a old fashioned video casette Does anyone know if the TRL show already has been recorded? I always thought the trl shows are live! If it's live, does anyone know how to get tickets for the trl shows???
