it's a bit weird, dunno if I'm happy for them for finally getting noticed or just being afraid that this hype will change them and their music totally......and no more small venues  Totaly agree!!! After my yesterdays training: I was going out of the changing room in the stadium and wearing a KOL shirt. My over 60 year old trainer said (peering at my t-shirt): "Kings of leon. Is this the new band? I have heard "Use somebody" on rtl-radio. they are good" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Already see them on "wetten dass...." sitting next to Mr Gottschalk! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! |

omg... yeah i totally hate that new attention they get. i mean i am happy for their success, but i don't like how they are represented now. i mean even rtl uses use somebody as music for their commercials. i was quite shocked. it's official. i know i'm such a snob, but i don't want the mainstream love my favorite bands.

it just annoys me that obviously this sudden hype is to a large part because of their new looks/new videos (although I always found them good looking ) ....I would rather see them getting this whole attention for being great musicians can`t remember seeing Molly's Chambers that often on TV like SOF but you know we're a video nation, I suppose the charts would look totally different, if there weren't any videos (nobody would know Britney, Katy, etc.) |

i'd also would like them to be recognised for the music rather than their looks or lifestyle. my sis says yesterday that she hopes that they will take a looooong break, so the hype-people forget that they exist. i cross my fingers, that this will work. and luckily all the serious music-press still loves the kings.
and that mtv-girl was really annoying, esp. at the beginning. but one thing i found sooo cute, was when this contest-thing came up and the viewers should answer the question about the name of the killers- record and how nate asked: can i guess, can i guess? having that cute smile on his face...

Hallo Roxi! ..aber man kann hier seine veralteten Schul-Englisch-Kentnisse gut aufbessern, obwohl ich nicht wissen will wieviele Fehler ich bei jedem Posting mach und wie dieses Schulenglisch für die lieben Nativespeaker klingen mag ....wenn die in ihrem Slang (ob jetzt englisch od. amerikanisch) posten, steig ich manchmal völlig aus- stört mich also keineswegs, dass die meisten uns hier nicht folgen können Hab mich schon oft gefragt, wenn die sich schon über Verständnisprobleme bei den KOL-Lyrics beschweren, was denken die, wie es uns erst gehen muss??? ich bin übrigens Natalie  |
