i just converted a guy into a kol-fan by simply giving him all their records to listen and now he says, they are just amazing. well he is a musician as well and is fascinated by the drums and the voice. so that one wasn't that hard.

well maybe you just put on a record without telling him, who it is... do it every day for several hours and you will get him.
musst dem bauer also nix erzählen hihi

@talia I totally understand you, black thumbnail is one of my alltime-favourites, would be so great to enjoy it live

Well im just home form Koln... First of, what a cool city, had a great time and meet some really sound people, the place has a great nightlife. The gig at the Palladium was great, Cold Desert was unreal, had a real moment during that, it was some of the best minutes of my life. Wasted Time also kicked ass, as did Black thumbnail. Was dissapointed with the exclusion of Tranny, Joes Head and Razz though, which have made it onto most setlists lately. The boys were really on form, especially Matthew ....but I found the crowd not great at all....I dont know maybe I was expecting to much as the last KOL gig I was at in the Dublin O2 will never ever be topped, but the people around us were just dead. So we moved a bit and more of the same. At one stage a girl asked us to stop singing so loud!! Then we started to jump around during some fast song and the looks we got of some people!! The german people seem to just like to stand there quietly during a gig...which is not what im used to! Other than that it was a great night, the venue was cool to, not to big (well compared to the O2), we went to some clubs after and had a great time. Will put some videos and picutres up soon! Also does anyone know if that MTV camera was recording the gig?

Were you standing on the balcony? Because literally everyone was jumping up and down from where I could see. Whenever I looked behind me, the entire place went like a big wave. I wouldn't say 'the german people' like to be quiet, cause that's not true at all from my experience last Thursday

garythegreat: i think it's not unusual for a concert that there are parts and people in the crowd who do not show any willingness to dance and freak out the whole night (though it's difficult to understand for us ). but as talia already said - the bigger part of the crowd in cologne was really wild. of course you cannot compare it to concerts in the uk but nevertheless i was surprised.

Hey Talia, I’ve just seen your pictures! You’re a very cute girl! and I am so jealous they’ve played black thumbnail on Thursday!!!!
And v2black: Your pics are awesome! I like the pic where the guys discuss what to play next during the Gloria Gig! karma for that!
And now to my German fellas:
Have you noticed the increased attention towards KOL in the German media? During the last days KOL is everywhere on the TV and on Radio! They use the music as background music during reportages and TV programs, on MTV they repeat the KOL Sound check ad nonstop and use somebody is on heavy rotation on the TV and radio music channels! Have the Germans finally got it? Have they realized how great KOL is??? On the one hand it is fantastic because the guys deserve the fame. But now I’m even more afraid that other people will see KOL as nothing but the SOF and Use Somebody artists!

I know, yesterday they showed an interview on the late news on RTL 2...it's a bit weird, dunno if I'm happy for them for finally getting noticed or just being afraid that this hype will change them and their music totally......and no more small venues ..and it's so unfair, I mean they always made good music (even better one), and now that the beards are off, wearing Dior and singing 'bout polished sex on fire they are suddenly "good enough" for MTV,etc. Not sure what to think of it
