Hope to God this doesnt happen. The further KoL are away from that shower of shite the better. I dont want to see KoL influenced by Bono's self righteous stadium rock bullshit.

hmmm U2 not sure id welcome that again but if the boys want to do it then i suppose its up to them, i would think it would probably be for the US dates again methinks. Ive nothing against U2 but how can they rip every fecker off charging them around £70 a ticket then Bono spouts his mouth off about their being poor people in the world and how we should all fork out money to clear third world debt whilst he swans about in his mansion! bloody hypocrite if ya ask me! (LOL i must be PMT'd sorry fo my rant just needed to let of steam! )

Well ill stick up for the irish guys, last time around it was like 50 a ticket, for one of the most amazing 2-and-a-bit hour shows ive ever seen, with a stage and lightshow to match, as well as two quality support bands. Id happily pay to see them again! Cant really see the collaboration happening again though, KOL have become far too big for that now, especially in the UK.

Sorry guys, not wanting to get at anyone here...I do like Bono but I can see his flaws too, but how do any of you know what he pays in terms of charity donations etc? Just cos he spends HIS money on himself doesn't mean he doesn't provide any of it to worthy causes.
If I had the money he had I'd also make sure I was taken care of and then I'd dish out some cash to causes I cared about.
Like yourselves, I don't know if he does give away money or not but I think its pretty unfair to assume and accuse him of not doing so just because he has an ego.
My two cents.

Here Here Jonathon! I've been a U2 fan since i was 12 and although Bono has always got on my goat a bit i do think he does what he does out of genuine concerns (even if we all love to hate a sanctimonious twat ) And as for the tax thing...is that not to do with the Artists Exemptions tax break thingy we have in Ireland? (and i'd much rather give tax breaks to artists authors and musicians than to billionaire multinational bastards and fat cat business men)

i actually dont mind U2 musically i think they are a good band and live band, but i hate these musicians that go on at us to give our hard earned money when lets face it most of us havent got a penny to rub together at the moment and he swans about in his private jet, making shit loads from all the concerts they do and the royalties! Lets face it Bono could probably clear thrid world debt on his own and still have money left over, now i'd respect him if he did that!

But Bono doesnt ask people to give money. He asks rich western countries to stop ripping off developing countries,

Yeah that was for live 8 to do with the G8 summit but ive seen interviews with him telling us if we all gave money to help the starving kids we could make a difference, im all for that but at the end of the day i dont have a lot of money myself and i just find it a tad hypocritical, im not dissing his values, his hearts in the right place i suppose

Ah sure i know, i'm only defending him for the sake of argument . I know its a bit sickening hearing how we should all be more charitable from a billionaire

For God's sake i hope this aint true. Touring with the likes of these are what have infulenced the greatest rock band of the mordern era into producing the formulatic Only by the Night. I hope the guys stay far far away. I'd like them to take time off after the next set of tours. Keep away from other bands and people infulencing them and just play music from deep inside them, just like they used to do.
The music they produced from their hearts is some of the greatest music ever made. Calebs Raw emotional singing is spine tingling. None of which he's doing now because of touring with stadium filling, over produced money making piles of kack like U2.
Dont do it lads! We need you back to your rocking best! And when did U2 ever ROCK?

Last Tour tickets were £40 which is cheap compared to Oasis £50 & Rolling Stones £90!

Can't Beleive you think this is the case! to clear 3rd world debt you are talking biliions and billions of pounds! Bono is said to be worth about 200million so lets get this into persective! You can knock him all you want but this guy has done more for world poverty than any other politican could even imagine he has got the UK and USA governments to part with 60 billion pounds for Africa. So stop bashing him and actually appluad him for all his good he has done for Africa!
