Even though OBTN isn't my favorite KOL album, the songs from it sounded awesome live. Actually, they were unbelievable better live than on the recordings. I've only heard a couple of them live when they played them this summer at the festivals, but from what I heard, I agree with that. They sounded great live. I can't wait til I get to hear a whole set. Thanks for the reviews guys. Did anyone take any pics? I really want to know what this venue is like. |

OK, i just got home from Nashville...and holy fuck...i really can't put into words how amazing the night was. It's my 5th time seeing them and the second in Nashville. THIS WAS THE BEST SHOW I'VE SEEN THEM PLAY!!! No joke. I was in the very front and center and it totally blew my mind (i've been front and center at all the shows but this was by far the best experience yet). Caleb's vocals were right on. Not once did they seem tired...it actually reminded me of the good ol' days, ya' know...youth and young manhood days. Matt, man...what can i say? He was tearing the shit outta that place. Jared was not as stiff as i had anticipated and he faced the crowd. Nathan...oh, nathan...always amazing...i've seen him break his sticks before but he's never played harder than he did last night. It really seemed like they fed off the crowd, who was fucking great and energetic. Yeah, they sang louder on Sex on Fire than most other songs, but still, it was great hearing so many people at once singing for them! Closer was the one song i was looking forward to the most, and they definitely didn't disappoint! Oh, and i was also looking forward to King of the Rodeo, like always, and Cold Desert. I wasn't sure if i would be able to enjoy it like i did the first time i heard it the night i got it, but it made me a bit teary eyed. I didn't like full on cry, but it struck an emotional chord, that's for sure. Afterwards, my friends and i waited for them outside...and fucking shit...they took forever! However, it was well worth the wait. We talked to Nacho for a while about random shit, like football, the show, the party backstage, and well...it was great. Not the party! Ha, i wish...we were freezing and he was like..."i wish i could bring you guys inside, since there aren't a lot of you, but i really can't. You understand, right?" Aw, what a sweetie. He also said they were partying pretty hard backstage so it might take a while, but to hang in there. So, then after waiting for fucking 2 1/2 hrs matt came out with his g/f and walked to the bus. He gave a little humbled grin, which was cute. I think we all thought he'd come back, so we didn't stop him for pictures or anything. BIG mistake, b/c he never came back from the bus. So, then after a while Caleb and Lilly came out and Caleb was super awkward...i don't really know why, but he was. Weird, i know...he's usually pretty humble yet cool enough to stop for pictures, a chat, and autographs. So, Lilly went on to the bus and Caleb was stopped by some girls for a pic and then i think he kinda warmed up to the whole 17 of us fans b/c he asked if anyone else wanted a picture. K, he left and then came Jared and Alisa (Alysa?). Haha, he was TOTALLY into the small crowd of fans and was acting like the Jared we all know and love. Totally talkative, flirty, fucking hilarious. He had no hesitation in signing tickets (even a boot) and taking a few pictures. Some which looked like they belonged in a Hollister ad. He goes on to tell us it's his birthday and that he had no idea we were still outside waiting, otherwise he would have come out sooner and that he really needed to hurry b/c those that were on the bus were pissed b/c he was taking a long time. So, that's it! I don't know what happened to Nathan, but i was thinking maybe he slipped out early or he was still inside...but we all came to consensus that 2 out of 4 was good. It was fucking freezing and none of us had come prepared for waiting 3 hrs in 32 degree weather. All in all, it was an awesome night...the best KOL experience yet. Oh, and for anyone who is wondering...their g/f are gorgeous! Not fair, i know...but what can we expect...so are they. Ugh, oh well...ha. So, if anyone has any questions or whatever feel free to ask! I can guarantee i won't forget the night for a while! Oh, and here are some pictures! Enjoy!       |

Really, they're like the beautiful girls we all love to envy...and even though they rushed off, i think so the boys could do their thing and b/c it was cold, they seemed nice. Not snooty or anything like that. I honestly think Jared's g/f would probably be the most fun to hang out with...she was all laughs and exuded happiness. So, yeah, to answer your question...Lily was even more beautiful in person. Geeze, i hope this doesn't make me sound creepy or something. I just read back over my post and I'm not a crazy, creepy lesbian, but this post might suggest that. It was just way exciting getting to see everyone in person. |

I agree w/everyone that said it was a great show. I was blown away!! It was my 2nd time seeing them, but I wasn't very familiar w/them the first time (at Lolla) so this was a MUCH different experience, lol And I got to meet Jared, Caleb & Nathan!  My friends and I started out waiting outside but then discovered that the backstage doors were unlocked, so we just walked in and found them standing in the hall!! I can't believe how easy it was. We didn't have to wait long at all to talk to them! Caleb was very sweet and GORGEOUS in person, OMG...Nathan was actually lookin a little rough, but he was very cool...signed my drumstick that I caught after the show Jared was adorable and very very friendly. Didn't see Matt!! Anyway, here are a couple pics....my friend took several others I haven't seen yet...she got a much better shot of us w/Nathan and has the only photo of us w/Jared so maybe I'll post those later once I get them...    Great experience, I'll never forget it!!! |

Wow, you people are so lucky meeting them,karma by the way ,chairlover. ( when I can ) its a lot harder now to meet them in the u.k.... but I have a good feeling this time .
