Hah, glad to know I'm not the only one to have a disastrous bed-sheet experience. Curtain-lining sounds a lot more catastrophic though! Did you do the painting in your signature? 'Cause it's fabulous! thanks! yeah the pic in my sig is one of mine, its KOL as the beatles (sgt pepper era), Im planning on doing a couple more in the new year, individual ones of each of the guys and just a Nacho one to throw into the mix! And yeah curtain lining was such a disaster- my mum was glad it was watercolour paint i was using and not my thick gloss! I love your pics! What kind of camera/lens are you using? Would you mind if i printed a couple of those out? (Hopefully going to be moving into a new house soon and planning an oldie/retro style front room and those would go sooo well)

You have a really rad style. Thanks! I'm really into Lomography's cameras–you should go to their site lomography.com–and these were taken with a basic Diana+ camera. It's a really cheap plastic analog camera that uses 120 film and is known for having really hazy, dreamy effects with accidental light leaks and tinting. It also has a manual shutter, so you can hold it open as long as you want or do multiple exposures. And I wouldn't mind at all if you printed a few out! If you like those, you should check out my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/29831240@N04/). It has a bunch of other Diana shots. Good luck with your new house!

Thanks I checked out yours, and your artwork is ridiculously good! I love how bold the style is, especially how the Amy Winehouse one stands out 'cause of that splashy red dress. Have you put any up for sale? 'Cause I bet folks would pay top dollar for those!

Your artwork is great freelancer (name?). I'm particularly liking the Amy Winehouse one and the one of Dave Grohl. Can I ask how you do them? Do you just do them straight from a picture or what? And I love your photos GHGD! I'm looking into a Diana + now after seeing your stuff.

Thanks for the comments (My name is Roberta) Usually I get a picture or a couple of pics of the person the just doodle away, sometimes they come out really bad but sometimes they are OK- depending on how the sketch goes depends upon if i paint them, Its quite a long process of drawing cos i usually have to do about 10-15 sketches of each to make sure im happy with them, basically- i have a boring job which gives me the time to draw!! I dont usually sell the pictures, the ones on there of ian brown were for a friend and the one of the mates cousin was for them too- i dont know if i could sell them, for some reason i feel like someone would be paying for something which they shouldnt..ive started work on my caleb one and now dont know if i could part with it!! Just bough 6 new pieces of wood all cut and ready to go so that should cover me over dec and january! Ive looked into a diana too and have friday planned to go into an camera shop in my town to see prices, i really like the end result of the photos- what are your names btw? (Im not usually on here, cant find the time inbetween work and drawing so havent really gotten to know anyone that well)

Wow, that must take so much patience! I know what you mean...On the rare occasion that I do finish a painting, I'm either too attached to it to part with it, or if a friend offers me money for it, I kinda feel like they're not getting their money's worth. And my name is Monet.

^^Those are really nice Rosey. It looks so pretty. Roberta, my name is Stephanie and you're paintings have inspired me to start painting again (high school art classes killed any love I had for drawing and painting even though I enjoyed it as a personal thing)

These are a few pages from my journal: Quadruple D! I'm totally the one for "drawing"! Here's some recent stuff I've done: Umm... Biology Notes: (Capers Avenue is my little side project thing. Look it up ) Detention!! Here's a painting of my friend I did for art club. Did this one with my fingers One of my friends painted my face, and my face painted the canvas. Pay no attention to the fact that my hair is up and that I look like a really awkward boy... hahahah. i thought the light was cool here: Sorry, that was a lot
