Hey everyone, I thought I should post this, though I am much more of a reader than a poster.
I have read a lot of posts about listening to the album at night, by yourself with good headphones etc... I could not agree more, I have been going to bed with this album every night. I am absolutely falling in love with this album.
Funny thing is, I am a 28 yr old guy btw, I will not let my friends listen to this album any other way, they wanna put it on while we are partying or in the car...but I do my best to make sure they listen to it by themselves in a dark room...maybe a little stoned ha!
Revelry, Closer, and Cold Desert my favs...I love 17 too!

At night in the room is always the best way,right?  maybe with a glass of wine. Actually I listen to it getting ready for school in the mornings,During class,In the car,Getting ready to go out lol.There is no such thing as a bad time for Kings of leon. As of yet I have not listened to it stoned but now I want to try it. |

definitely at night! in the small hours of the morning is perfect but right before falling asleep does the trick too  i also like to listen to 'em whilst i'm jogging, or walking my dog, or during a boring lecture, keeps me awake |

Oooh I was thinking bout this the other day!! Nice one!! At night definately, especially very late (or early depending on what time you get up) when it seems like the rest of the world is asleep! Driving too, but it has to be at full blast and you have to sing your heart out I found out too that its really good when washing windows, cooking, ironing and cleaning So its good pretty much all the time!! |

I just sing my heart out when 'Manhattan' comes on. Oh, and I definitely recommend listening to 'Closer' while reading the Twilight series of books. The two go well together. |

My ears often help me when i'm listening to the album. Why does everyone think it sounds better at night just cuz its called Only by the Night? Sounds pretty good in the car too me, in the afternoon too! lol

i always want to drink wine when im listening to the album, its a bit dangerous coz the first thing i do in the morning is put it on and so i have to make myself not have a liquid breakfast
if i become an alchoholic its calebs fault
