Did anyone else notice this that watched the show? In the moments where Caleb's guitar should have been heard, it was BARELY audible?
This happened on Sex on Fire, and my wife and I figured they would have it worked out for the next song...
but then they played Use Somebody, and it was still the same.
I still thought the songs sounded really good, and folks who hadn't heard the songs may not have really noticed, but i just hated for them that they were on SNL and the viewing audience didn't get the FULL experience.
Anyone else notice that?

I didn't notice this at all. He starts Sex on Fire and I heard his guitar just fine.

might be, my speakers are so messed up i only hear Caleb's voice really loud and then a faint echo of the rest of the guys' parts  |

when he started off Sex on Fire, i COULD hear the guitar, but only for a few chords...and then nothing...
same with Use Somebody...only in the VERY quiet parts could we hear his guitar at all. Matthew's guitar came through just fine, but Caleb's was completely absent in the broadcast we saw.
I'm curious Ziggy...were you getting the east coast (live) airing of the show? maybe it was something that they fixed when they rebroadcast it? i'm just not sure.

I just watched Sex on Fire and at the start it did seem pretty quiet compared to normal?

yeah some parts and it happened a few times with the singing..ike the mic messed up or something

I KNEW it! that explains a lot...after hearing them sound so great live on the BBC, something had to be off!  That is too bad, but my friends (who are not big KOL fans but I harassed them into watching) said they like it anyways...  |

you know what it is, and ive noticed this aswell as in the jools performance when they play it live, television wise , calebs guitar is lower and less distorted aswell its a clean low sound have a listen to the one on jools performance of sex on fire and you will notice its the same thing, and a tad bit slower aswell but still fuckin badass |

Yes! I'm so glad someone else noticed this! I was so irritated. You could tell that Caleb knew it wasn't working. I thought he did a really good job faking it. I mean, he could hear it but I'm sure he knew it wasn't coming through to the audience.
