Personally, I would like to see the following on their next album: 1. I would like for them to pack up the synthesizers and put them in storage. Perhaps bring out a real piano. 2. I would like for them to stop writing songs that they think would sound good in a stadium. The Rolling Stones never took this approach to songwriting and I don't think KOL should either. It makes their songs sound kinda bland. 3. No more songs about vampires. That's like writing a song about.....ninja turtles. It's kinda silly.4. I wish they would go back to their roots a little bit more. I liked their sound when it was more 'raw'. 5. And last but not least...... MORE COWBELL!!! but Closer is arguably the best song on the album Yessir. I agree. By far the best song.

No one's going to like you saying this chichi. I agree, but very few others do. I haven't heard the album ( I can wait six more days) but I'm sure these are all very accurate, esp. " I would like for them to stop writing songs that they think would sound good in a stadium".
But please, don't compare them to The Rolling Stones.

My only wish is for KOL to keep making the music that makes them happy. If that means synth or stadium rock anthems...as long as they're happy...maybe one day I won't be as happy with their music as I am now...but now I am so bring it on!

My Wishlist for The Kings: Don't read this thread. Why, you want less cowbell? Lol good reply I like cowbell, I like KOL using cowbell, it works well. However the general point of this thread and your original post is that you clearly want them to go back to the way they before BOTT and even more so with OBTN. I completely disagree. I love all the old classics by them and the great little bits and pieces we find all over the first two albums. But I don't want them to make an album full of rehashes of all my old KOL favourites, I want them to make different songs that will become my new favourites. If you get me?

Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of their new stuff too....I'm just talking about some things that I'd like to hear on the next album. Just like you don't want them to keep rehashing the old stuff, you don't want them to keep rehashing the new stuff either, right?
And whatever they decide to do next, I still think they're one of the best bands of all time!
I just wanna hear me some piano.....and cowbell.

i always thought caleb sounded just fine! i don't think he kept the band back at all like he says. it makes me sad when they kinda diss their old stuff in interviews, i know they're jokin when they talk about the length of previous albums but still its kinda negative and YAYM and ASH were just fabbbbbulous!!

I don't want them to be influenced by The Stones or Zep or anyone! I want them to lock themselves away for 2 years. Not listen to any music and then hit us with whats inside of them.
We all know of how they were brought up and because of not hearing much music as kids, the first 2 albums were "All them" They often say "We started to play and thats the noise we made"
And i want them to do that again. Balls to U2, Pearl Jam and others corrupting them with "Stadium Music"
Go Hide Boys, GO NOW! well no! After December! lol
