i hope they have lots of success over here in the US but i hope they don't get real real big. it just seems like bad things happen when bands get real big over here. i don't mean like they themselves will sell out or anything, but i mean that they'll get all the "fair weather fans" that just jump on the band wagon and things go downhill from there. i get less interested in bands that go mainstream. i won't stop listening to them i'll prolly talk about them less cuz i feel like people won't know them like i know them having been around since the beginning.
if that makes any sense. it makes sense to me.

I just think its so strange how they are number one over in the UK and not even on the charts at all over here in the U.S. WTF? T.I is number one and disturbia by Rhianna.. All people vote for over here is R&B and rap garbage. I dont know about you, but I dont even consider R&B music, its just annoying vocals. I dont care how good they sing, the music they sing to sucks. I should move to the U.K. lol

hmm I don't share your views on modern day R&B music and hip-hop. Both aren't my favorite music genres, far from it, but God knows it originated from ACE music and true artists. The blues, old skool soul. Amazing black talents such as Little Richard, Stevie Wonder, James Brwon and the list is endless. R&B in this day and age is just being severely raped by all these pop artists who wouldn't know soul if it'd slap em in the face.

I dont care who it originated from because it still sucks. and dont see how someone can listen to it. I still love the new kings album by the way, but I was hoping kings of leon were gonna be the band to bring back the sex drugs n rock n roll but I guess not now, looks like thats still left open for some other future band to do.

I think Usher is one of the best in his genre. Compared to the worst like Rihanna. That woman is the worst thing that could've happened to pop music. not all of it is bad. there are a few good songs from those genres. yes they do get overplayed and it gets old and annoying. i hope that if the kings do well over here that they dont become overplayed, old, or annoying. as for the rap/rnb thing i do like lupe fiasco, pharrell williams...i used to like kanye west but then i grew to dislike him. i like some lil wayne stuff but that lollipop song is as annoying as peewee herman dancing next to you for a week and a half. anyway yeah some stuff really should be shot, burried with the case file attatched and thrown into the ocean.
