whoops need an edit on my last post: i guess people don't think they sound similar to Coldplay? there's a certain grandiose sound to Use Somebody that reminds me of a couple of Coldplay songs like Viva la Vida and Lovers in Japan. and just as an aside...double, it's too bad you don't like Coldplay. i'll admit for a time i didn't like where their sound went (X&Y album) but they've re-entered my good graces. sorry i'm kind of off the subject now. back to KOL and SNL you dont have to edit your post its all only opinions. |

I forgot how unfunny SNL is! The skit with Cameron Diaz was good, but besides that I was falling asleep waiting for KOL to perform! Thank god James Franco was hosting. Watched Across the Universe during the commercials. ANYWAYS... Two very good performances. 1. Loved Caleb's suspenders 2. Jared's new hair isn't working for me 3. They got some funny angles and shots of Matt during Use Somebody haha 4. I'm so glad they played Use Somebody! I mean, for a KOL fan it was a good choice... but maybe people ignorant to KOL should have heard a more KOL-esque song?  5. Taped it on the DVR... gonna watch it fully awake again later :-) 6. David Letterman on tuesday!!! |

Do you think people in their late 20's and older would like a song like Use Somebody? They usually get fans of all ages, right? I just feel like that song is a little more teen friendly. It reminds me of Coldplay - but I guess middle aged people like them too? What's the typical age for an SNL viewer? Well, I'm 16 and I still think the skits are terrible... |

Why are people surprised they are playing Use Somebody on tv? It is going to be their next single, so makes sense to promote it whilst they are getting the airtime..
OWww you lucky US viewers, how was their performance? Were they received by the crowd well?

I think they were very well received by the crowd. But the thing about SNL is that 80% of the audience are friends/family of the people in the show.

Oh I forgot to add.........the pictures that they took for SNL that they showed like before they went on and throughout the show......wooooweeeee!!! I believe those were the hottest pictures I've ever seen of them. I wish I could get ahold of those!
