The only thing I can say is: Suspenders? Really Caleb? Really? Why would anyone wear those? Hahaa.

Ok a couple things about tonight's performance:
1) When did it become ok to not acknowledge the crowd. I know KOL is now super cool, but they acted like they were too good to give at least a slight acknowledgment to the crowd
2) Did all of them (except for Nathan) decide to see a hair stylist? Matt and Jared look like they just put their finger in an electric outlet, and Caleb looks like he's lost about half his hair. Thanks god Nathan didn't drink this hair stylist's kool-aid
I'm seeing them in a couple days at Webster Hall. I first saw them in 2004 opening up for The Strokes in a college gym in Maryland. I hope they can tap into the energy they displayed in the latter performance when they hit the stage at Webster Hall on Tuesday.

Lousy performance...matt messed up on sex on fire. Wow, the suspenders were new lol. I know music isn't about looks, but c'mon...jared and matt look way out of the norm. There hair is soo irritating to look at. Its like in the 3rd grade when it was picture day and momma just licked her fingers and ran it through their hair. Matt looked like he was having a good time though, and that's what matters.

GOSH! You people are really harsh! I was soooooo excited for them! I got so nervous for them too! You could tell during Sex on Fire they seemed pretty nervous. But it seemed like they loosened up during Use Somebody. I thought it was awesome, I'm so happy for them! I'm really glad they played Use Somebody, I think that's there ticket for the US. Doing that show had to be so nerve wracking for them, I can't even begin to imagine. It's a monumental moment. So exciting! And when they were standing there at the end you could tell they were so proud and honored to be there. They are such great guys!!

I thought they did very good, and how bout James Franco like needing to clear his throat everytime he said, "Kings of Leon".

I'll be uploading both performances tomorrow morning, so far I've only got to see the Sex on Fire one and they sure were nervous, but it made perfect sense, no?
My friend went like (he's not a Kings fan or anything), I think the song they just performed was Be Somebody. I was like 'cool', can't wait to check that out. And now I read they actually performed Use Somebody which is even more exciting!

i didn't catch 'sex on fire' but i liked their second performance! it's actually my first listen of the song and i thought they were pretty spiff.
one thing that ran through my mind more than once was how matt and jared looked like they walked out of the 50s. that one shot of jared making that face, total elvis moment.
all in all, i thought it was pretty good. nathan looked as mellow as ever with his bubble gum, aha.

Gahhhhhhhhh! They were great - you could tell they were nervous. Hell, I've been to the SNL auditorium and it is SMALL. They must have been shitting themselves. I love the beginning shot of the band and Matt is in the FRONT! Yes! Jared's hair was silly but I thought they all looked great. THIS SEX IS ON FIRE!

yeah I could tell they were all nervous but they are allowed to be. SNL is such a huge deal here in the US. I thought Jared and Matt looked funny but what the hell, they are on SNL and they wanted to look nice. I just love the way they look without trying.

That's the thing they shouldn't be trying.

Do you think people in their late 20's and older would like a song like Use Somebody? They usually get fans of all ages, right? I just feel like that song is a little more teen friendly. It reminds me of Coldplay - but I guess middle aged people like them too? What's the typical age for an SNL viewer?

i should add that this, season snl is shit.
snl has a rep for being a really funny show, and it has been in the past. the past two seasons have been utter crud though.
oh, and i think coldplay are shit. i thought 'use somebody' sounded a bit more 'true love way' than anything coldplay ever [literally] shat out.
edit; my, this post sure does contain a lot of feces reference, no? oh well, haha.
