Thank you so much for writing that up for us. I really got a sense of what we all missed. Good on you for getting a Nacho pic. Atleast they know that one hardcore fan was in there to see them

I know! Nacho is like the silent fifth member of the band! I was half expecting someone to shout Nacho when he had to come on to fix something during the set and it was all quiet but no-one did No-one seemed to know who he was at all which is weird because your right Sarah, he is a legend! I am so glad i have my picture altho he looks less than impressed in it lol! I was wearing jeans with a black top and an orangy coloured cardigan...i saw your photo with nacho but I don't remember seeing you outside? Where abouts did you wait? However I was quite excited so I wasnt taking in that much around me! Thanks kasi18, i will have a go at posting the pics in a second! And yes, it was definately no cameras. It does sounds diva-ish lol! Some guy asked security when he was talking to us in the queue why we weren't allowed cameras and the security bloke said "this is completely at the bands request and we have to comply with what they want (as in security, etc.) You have no second chances." So I wasn't going to mess with that! Also, I spoke to loads of people in the queue and they were all from London so it sounds like Radio 1 just chose people who lived in London which I think is greatly unfair really because if you are willing and are able to travel then you should be given the same chance as everyone else.

I had a feeling it was just Londoners you know haha... I was kind of loitering around the main reception and halfway between the two sets of doors on the street. I was with a girl with blonde hair? I don't think i can recall seeing you either off the top of my head! And i remember seeing Nacho come on and no one said anything then either! If i had been more near the front I may have... I didn't even mention his name when i asked for a photo, i felt really bad.. But i guess he knew i knew who he was or i wouldn't have asked!

Ahhhh such cool photos My wristband is on the loosest hole (god knows why) so i need to some how tighten it.. which is like impossbile I don't remember seeing you This is a bit random, but do you knwo the band Red Light Company? because i know one of them(ish) and 3 of them walked past me outside?! And the one i talk to just told me they all walked past around the time it finished I just thought it was a bit random haha

I can understand them not wanting photos last night though, because they must have been so nervous beforehand about the gig.. it was live on air, so intimate (like on 'sex on fire' you can hear a missed note just when caleb first starts singing). The fact that they weren't drinking probably reaffirms this anyway... they probably just didn't want major distractions so they could pull the gig off .. this must have gathered such huge publicity for them. i remember last year when i saw them in plymouth just before we met them these guys were like 'the band don't want any photos and they aren't signing anything' and we were like what the hell they always have photos with us etc what divas.. anyway they came out and completely contradicted what the bouncer-type men had previously stated and jared and matt hung around for at least half an hour- they love that shit!

They love the fans.I guess theres a time and a place for that stuff. Like if youre trying to play a show and youre being blinded by a camera flash then that aint cool. Or if a band has to catch a plane they cant stand around to sign autographs but the band always try their best.

Phew, I have just read everything that i missed on this thread, it took a while! The gig sounded amazing on the radio and thank you Queen of the Rodeo and sarah for writing up your experiences! Karma to you both when I can! Can't believe you managed to get in sarah, that's brilliant! I am not tempted to go and hang around whenever/wherever they're recording jools holland next week! I'm so glad some people from here got to go - I'm also so jealous! Heard a girl on the radio this morning talking to scott mills about how it was the best night of her life and she met jared beforehand etc - I was in the car on the way to work and felt a bit depressed! But it's great to be able to experience it through you girls on here!

In between songs Caleb would call Matt and Jared over and they would huddle for 5 seconds to discuss what song was next. After Crawl they were having a big discussion about what to play next. Caleb goes "shall we play some extras?" and Jared goes "you are live on the air" so Caleb says "shall we play On Call?" and Jared goes "NO, NO! " (very sternly!!). Maybe Jared doesn't like that song?! Then that guy yelled "black nail" and Jared goes "yeah we'll play Manhattan, Black Thumbnail then Knocked Up " but Caleb goes "we need to practice that" so then they all go back to their respective positions to start playing and Nathan yells "Wait! What song are we playing then?" and Jared goes "It's Manhattan next!" It was rather funny! Then after they had finished Knocked Up Jared goes "do you want Charmer?" which of course everyone cheered for so they launched into it you can hear all of that on the recording! haha so funny. thanks for the re-cap sounded like an amzing night, v. jealous. have some karma xxxx

Hope these work. Sorry for the bad quality, they were taken on my camera phone as we were told in the e-mail we were sent that no cameras were allowed so I decided not to take my digi-cam incase they took it off me but I could of used it after the band had left, nevermind! Just after kol finished: Where am I stood is about where the first line of people were allowed to stand - nobody must cross the taped line! WHOA!! HOW CLOSE!! lucky lucky it would have been awkward for me bein that close with the eye contact and all. i wouldn't know what to do. haha Thanks for the story, love all the little details! karma PS - that nacho photo is gold i tell you!!! i cant believe no-one knows him. obviously there were not many hard core fans like all of us there could you all imagine if it was just a HA audience! that would be sooo amazing

Although that's also bad because if everyone turns up then some people won't be able to get in? So she said to make sure you get there early... But i guess you can't join the front of the queue with no ticket

IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU QUEEN OF THE RODEO AND SARAHE!!!! ive given you both Karma!! Sounds like a brilliant night, They were fantastic on the radio! but as many people have said the crowd seemed pretty shit! its sounds like you both were the only proper fans there! as for the no photos thing it could have been that they didnt want a whole load of flashes and stuff happening to distract them, i saw the mighty boosh last night and the same thing was asked that we never took any photos or filmed it
