Well I saw them for the first time last year and he didn't say it. I feel cheated! Haha what they did though is walk out on stage and then look the entire venue over with this sly grin (at least Caleb and Jared did), before breaking out into Black Thumbnail.

At the end they left the stage, came back for an encore, and when they finally left I noticed Matt did something to someone in the audience, like the rock n' roll hand thing and stuck his tongue out smiling.
