Which do you prefer? I've seen them before in Melbourne supporting Pearl Jam at Vodafone arena, and again at festival hall.
Gotta tell ya, really didnt feel the Pearl Jam gig as much as Fest. Hall.

I totally hate small venues, because you have to stand. And standing for me ticks me off because I hate people at concerts.

Small venues all the way, all the time!!!!! Cant sit at a gig.....boring!!!
Unless its like James Blunt or something, I wouldnt be there in the first place but if I was I would need to sit, and sleep.......and cry until it was over!!

Small (sweaty) venues for me. The atmosphere is 100 times better.. At big venues after the first dozen rows or so at the front the crowd seem flat. I saw them @ Lincoln Engine Shed in Feb 07, a small venue and it was bouncing from front to back. But @ Manchester Central in December 07 it seemed flat after the first 1/3 of the crowd. Good job I was near the front then!!

I prefer smaller ones, don't get me wrong i'd still happily see them in arenas too. I just like them to feel more personalised I hope they keep on playing the BIC and Brighton Centre cos they're a considerable amount smaller then o2 etc

Last year I saw them in Minneapolis at First Avenue. I could have stood in the front row in front of the stage had I wanted to, but I chose to stand about 20 feet away. This year they're playing a different venue in Minneapolis. I called an hour after tickets went on sale and will be in the 5th row........of the upper level! Wish they were at First Ave again.

Small venues all the way.
I hope they haven't got too big over here so that they won't go any smaller than the Arena's from now on. I mean, I'm happy they're being successful, but I want to see them in a venue with a capacity less than 3,000 again. It's just so much better.

Small venues. I love how close everyone is to eachother and the band and although things can get a bit racey, I loved it.

I prefer smaller venues, just because it's more fancy, it's cosy.

I saw them at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The atmosphere there was way cooler and they've got the absolute best acoustics. This time they are playing the Munciple Auditorium and while I remember some great concerts there when I was a teenager, the place has gotten old. Their sound did fill up the arena in Columbia SC though. But I'd still rather see them in a smaller venue.

I was lucky to see them at a small club in baltimore just last october. I got there when the doors opened and had no trouble getting a nice spot right in the very front row on Jared's side. I was literally a few feet from them when they performed.
However this year, instead of performing in both DC and Baltimore, they are only playing in DC at Constitution Hall (a larger venue). All seats are the same price though.

I've only seen them at festivals and I'm dying to see them at a normal show so I'd like to see them at a small venue with like a 1000 people or less

i wonder what the kings prefer? judging from what they've said about writing in arenas i'd say they like that bigger sound.
