It seems to have a native Indian vibe to me. It's a bit unsettling. I wonder if there'll be a difference between the US/European versions... The two ASH variations are the two best album covers for me.

i'm getting the vibe that not everyone likes the new artwork- the bald eagle with the four faces.

this is what i think about that:
KOL is not always gonna be exactly the same- it's ok if they don't use the loop font, it's ok if they change the concept of their sound/look

we get too caught up on "how much they've changed" that we forget to just enjoy the moment.

were i an inquiring woman, i'd wonder if there was a message behind the flower, the light bulb and the bird.

luckily, i am not an inquiring woman. i am however, thoroughly creeped out. that looks scary. i think an owl alone would have been neat. or an eagle. not to mention their jaws are asymmetrical.

i must say though. they sure do have shiny hair.

I like the artwork and the owl/nocturnal idea makes sense after reading what Caleb said on their myspace page:

“To me it sounds like the Kings of Leon are back not only as a band, but as friends,” Caleb says. “Every night after recording we’d go to a bar together, hang out and talk about what we were going to do the next day, rather than all of us going to our separate homes. It was really a big family vibe. That’s where the title comes from. It’s also a reference to a poem by Edgar Allan Poe, and it has five syllables, like all of our album titles.”
