Ok here's my take...
Lay where you're layin' Don't make a sound I know they're watchin' They're watchin'
All the commotion Its killing the play It has people talkin' They're talkin'
You Ya sex is on fire
The dark of the alley The breakin' of day The head while I'm drivin' I'm drivin'
Soft lips are open Them knuckles are pale Feels like ya dyin' Ya dyin'
And you Ya sex is on fire Consumed We're the ones to transpire
Hot as a fever Rattlin' bones I could just taste it Taste it
If its not forever If its just tonight Oh we're still the greatest The greatest...the greatest
And you This sex is on fire And you This sex is on fire Consumed We're the ones to transpire
And you Ya sex is on fire Consumed We're the ones to transpire

Hey I see where you're coming from but it doesn't actually confirm that he sings those words in the finished song...
I do think at points in the song he is singing this sex is on fire, its actually hard to tell between 'ya/your sex is on fire' and 'this sex is on fire'. I could be wrong, he might not sing it at all, its all down to what the individual can pick up on through the instruments.
But we won't REALLY know until an official lyric sheet comes out.

Not necessarily. Haven't you ever heard of pillow talk or talking dirty? Transpire means to come or to ooze (or to come to light). "To come or ooze"?! That's the most selective interpretation of 'transpire' I've ever heard! Not saying it's not technically correct, but has anyone ever heard 'transpire' being used in that context? I certainly haven't! Maybe I just haven't been getting any high-calibre pillow talk . Having said that, I wouldn't put it past Caleb to make even 'transpire' a dirty word Also, I have to go with Irshfan in that I hear 'the breaking of day/ahead while I'm driving", not 'head while I'm driving'. You dirty buggers!

Oh and to me it sounds like "consumed with what's to transpire", which would make sense. (though it also sounds like 'console'...I dunno..)

I don't hear "with words", I hear "with what's". So either "Consumed with what's to transpire" which would actually make total sense, or "console with what's to transpire" which is really bad English but isn't entirely nonsensical! /*schoolmarm*

I am hearing:
* THIS sex is on fire * Consumed with the want to transpire * It's not forever, it's just tonight, oh it's still the greatest.

Ok, having been through it a good million times or so, i'm going with this:
(not sure about the kitty line, and i rekon he only sings 'This sex is on fire' once near the end. - on all the others i hear 'Your'.)
Lay where you're laying Don't make a sound I know they're watching They're watching
All the commotion This kitty likes play Has people talking Talking
You Your sex is on fire
The dark of the alley The breaking of day Ahead while I'm driving I'm driving
Soft lips are open Them nuckles are pale Feels like you're dying Your dying
You Your sex is on fire Consoled We're the ones to transpire
Hot as a fever Rattling bones I could just taste it Taste it
But it's not forever No it's just tonight Oh we're still the greatest The greatest The greatest
You This sex is on fire You Your sex is on fire
Consoled We're the ones to transpire
And you Your sex is on fire Consoled We're the ones to transpire.

You dirty buggers! Hehe I have to agree about the "ahead while i'm driving". I didnt want to be the first to say it though LOL!! Everyone seemed to love the 'head while i'm driving' so much i didnt want to disagree! Karma for making me feel better bornagirl!!

I am hearing: * Consumed with the want to transpire * It's not forever, it's just tonight, oh it's still the greatest. Those two make so much more sense! Especially the first one. But who knows! We'll have to wait and see...

Man...i seriously can't stress how many times i repeated sections of this song and then the whole song...i wouldn't be surprised if it had been at least 80+ times...
Anyway, here's what i hear...still iffy about the 6th line (the infamous line about the kitty, the killin', the play, or the pain) and whether or not he says "we're still the greatest," or "oh, it's still the greatest." Plus, i don't know whether or not he's saying "console" or "and so." Ugh, this is driving me crazy!!! So...who knows...either way, it makes sense. Hmmm...how bad will it suck if there are no lyrics with the album?! HA....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lay where ya’ layin’ Don’t make a sound I know they’re watchin’ They’re watchin’
All the commotion They killin' our pain It has people talkin' They’re talkin'
You…your sex is on fire
The dark of the alley The breakin' of day Ahead while I’m drivin' I’m drivin'
Your soft lips are open Them knuckles are pale It feels like your dyin’ Your dyin'
And you…your sex is on fire
And so….we’re the ones to transpire
Hot as a fever Rattlin' bones I could just taste it Taste it
It’s not forever No, it’s just tonight Oh it’s still the greatest The greatest…the greatest
And you…your sex is on fire And you….your sex is on fire
And so….we’re the ones to transpire
And you…your sex is on fire… And so…we’re the ones to transpire

My 2 pence worth (or whatever the saying is!)
Line 6: They're killing our play (makes the most sense but still open to debate.)
Second line of chorus : Consumed with what's to transpire (I'm fairly certain it's this. totally agree with bornagirl76. It makes far more sense.)
Last verse :If it's not forever If its just tonight Oh we're still the greatest
The rest of it, i think, most agree with now

to me this sounds like, "all the commotion, the kiddy like play, has people talking" which would also make sense

The song is called Sex On Fire, yet more of you seem to think the line is "ahead while I'm driving"? Now that's funny. I hear "head when I'm driving", which is something I have experienced, so I think I know what I'm talking about.
