isn't 'Were the words to transpire'
really:
'we're the ones to transpire'
- which would make much more sense ?

Transpire means to come or to ooze (or to come to light). So it could be either and still make sense. Personally, I still hear "words to transpire".

Personally, I still hear "words to transpire". but 'were the words to transpire' hardly makes sense - were being past tense - words arent tangibile, and transpire meaning either coming to light/becoming known or release vapor (or jizz if you like). in this context 'we're the ones' makes more sense. plus thats what i hear. i know Calebs lyrics are sometimes pretty ambigous and whatnot, but for what its worth (and in the context of the song - where its coming to a head) it makes more sense that theyre 'coming together'. or not. whatever

I heard "ones to transpire"
I thought I'd heard "head while I'm driving" wrong when I was listening to it, so I had to come here and check! I really like that line, it's very dangerous though! :]

But it could also be "one's to transpire" - at this point it's hard to tell. And I don't recall who mentioned this but it could be "This sex is on fire" rather than "Your sex is on fire". I can't really tell about those either. I'm resigned to waiting for the lyrics insert on this one. Thank you.
