I've seen them a few times now and although I love the shows I wish they would put a bit of variety in, if they get bored why don't they mix it up a bit it would be more intresting for them and the nuts like myself (and you know who you are) that like to go to loads of them. I honestly don't think they'd tour so much if they didn't like it, it isn't as if it's the only way they make money.

ive seen the kings many times over the last 4 years. i agree they have changed in the way of their performance.
but....
1st time i saw them they played a smaller venue...last time it was an arena... with the change in size of venues goes the atmosphere and energy and interaction (yeah i know they dont interact that much) but i feel with a smaller venue its just more personal.
and also..when i was a youngen 4 year ago i was pushing my way to teh front...now i take a standing point wherever i wont get bashed about...so i suppose that may have effected my outlook on the performance of th band ( not being in with the energy and crazynes)
with more new albums, a band just progresses and matures, and so i suppose their performance matures and changes. i love the kings. and i guess il just take their more laid back performances well (though i do miss the old kings)

i reckon a band can interact with its audience in a lot more ways than using words. it's the same with the lyrics for a fan. it's just the way your brain works and what your ears naturally focus on. it's just more difficult to convey.

I think they play an awfully tight show. For those of us who are superfans and go to lots of their shows, I think we'd love it if they mixed it up more. It would probably make it more interesting for them too. Plus, for those of us who love the bootlegs, they would be more fun to listen to. If I've listened to one version of Fans, I've listened to every version of Fans. Don't get me wrong, I really love the band. I can't wait til the Nashville tickets go on sale. But come on guys, you've been out on the road for the past five years. It has got to get old for you too!

I've never been to a kol gig but ive seen most of the clips on youtube and watch their dvd all the time and I still get chills. I still wanna dance & sing my heart out when I hear them play and to me that's a good live show..for me a band doesn't need to go all 'crazy'...I just want that 'wow' factor from the minute i hear them play till the end. When I saw Muse live..they didn't go all crazy but omgg..I felt like I was on muse drugs. It was like an orgasm.....now that's a live show!!
I'd rather see Caleb do his little bobble dances then go all psycho haha.

have to say i wish they'd just show a bit of appreciation to those of us who pay so much money to see them. i mean, i'm not asking them to dive around the stage like monkeys, but when we're paying for their fancy cars and big houses it would be nice of them to acknowledge that we're there a bit more. sometimes they play like they're in their living room with nobody watching. the music is phenomenal every time, but there is a distinct lack of showmanship.

i like that though...they keep this mystery about them with the little interaction with the audience....it just leaves u wanting more!
i think that is one thing which has been consistant throughout the kings reign. the most ive ever heard them speak on stage, is when the security guards at one gig was trying to get their mates to stop dancing infront of us (it was a seated gig, i know, snore!)...teh security thought their mates were bothering us, and calebs having a go at the security guard, and then asking if they are bothering us..we were in the middle of a kings vs security argument!
