How do they get that intro to fans the same everytime?
must be pre-recorded on one of matts pedals
sounds like a delay pedal but does anyone have any idea what matt plays/played for it?
and does anyone know what matts new guitar is while im at it...

Im pretty sure his new guitar is a Gibson ES-137... It's a mellow jazz guitar. Which suits his playing and effects as he tends to use very little tone on his guitar.  |

all i know about that noise in the the beginning of fans live is that you can also hear this in 'fans' in the album version in the last choruses (?) its just a noise in the backround and you can hardly hear it but as i love to listen to kol as loud as possible i noticed that a few weeks ago.  btw: matts new guitar looks cool and vintage i think...but this sheraton is just one of the most beautiful guitars on earth!! |

just what I was gonna say. sounds exactly like it. HA. Funny enough. I saw KoL for the first time about a month ago opening for Pearl Jam. I wasn't very familiar with the Kings' music, and when I heard the intro, I thought to myself "wait, they're doing Baba O'Riley? PJ usually does it!" and then I heard the song, I felt really silly. Oddly enough, that's what made me pay more attention to the song to begin with, and now love it more than "Baba."  |
