Hello there,
Just noticed this fresh article on RS.COM, here is a cut n paste:
The Smoking Section told you about the Kings of Leon’s boozy recording sessions for their new album, and today Rock Daily got an early listen to the Followill brothers’ September 23rd LP Only By the Night. The first indication this record is ready to kick some ass? It’s got a track called “Sex on Fire” that features kinky lyrics like “I know they’re watching” over twangy bent-note guitars and a thrumming bass groove. That’s just one of the 12 hotwired but extremely loose tracks that range from brawny Zep-style rockers (”Crawl”) to spooked-out blues ballads like “Cold Desert,” on which frontman Caleb howls “Jesus don’t love me/ No one ever carried my load.” The tentatively titled “Notion to Say” sounds like pure Nineties alt-rock with liquidy guitars reminiscent of Kurt Cobain’s riff from “Come as You Are” and a crystal-clear bassline that’s pure Pixies. Drummer Nathan goes to town on “Seventeen,” a song that dates back to their Aha Shake Heartbreak days and boasts a bunch of massive fills, but one of the better cuts has to be “Use Somebody,” a soaring power ballad that strangely enough sounds like a badass version of Journey’s “Faithfully.”
Geez, there go those "clueless American Music Journos having overly adjective-drawn erections" again. "Compare this new to this old to get readers" must be their flopsome credo in their journo beliefs. Happy reading and Cheerios!

Hello again,
Again, this is Rolling Stone we're talking about, whom haven't covered music properly since the early Grunge era, so some of the pomp and circumstance you get from reading this article should abit cautious. Anyway, with my rumbling aside, it does yield us a good tracklist so far, looks like, in no particular order:
- Crawl - Manhattan - Cold Desert - Notion To Say - Seventeen - Use Somebody - Sex On Fire Still think this new album will FINALLY define the KOL as a band to stop taking for granted, as most music fans that aren't moonlighting as "indie fanboys" do unfairly to alot of new bands and bands that have been around for a while. Cheerios!

I swear when I read the words "Sex on Fire", my thighs went up in flames! This album sounds interesting and I can't wait to hear some other early reviews and different perspectives.

“Jesus don’t love me/ No one ever carried my load.”
that's fucking amazing. to go from "I talk to jesus everyday/ jesus says I'm ok." to that....I can't pinpoint exactly why I think that's so cool.

Cheers for this, i swear they are teasing us with this title sex on fire!! I WANT TO HEAR IT SOOO BAD!! Im getting so excited, but i always think you have to take what these magazines say with a pinch of salt, its like the nme they'll come out with stuf like..."its the best song they've done" then when you read the review they will totally slate it. Luckily all the albums have been well received buy these magazines so heres hoping....

I just watched an interview with Nate and Jared from Roskilde, and Jared says that the new album kinda sounds more like Aha Shake Heartbreak than BOTT, so maybe RS aren't too far off the mark...Though the Pixies-style bass lines sound v. BOTT, so who knows?
edit: Thanks Jamiro!
