At this point their performance has ended... I was connected to the Festival Radio but it was terrible. At first it kept running radio to radio (probably they had a ilegal radio because it was so faulty) and nothing was clear, then I could listen to that okay but they didn't broadcast anything of the set, just heard someone talking in a language I don't know: Kings of Leon... Manhattan...bla bla bla Then just found this picture:  |

My boyfriend is there, and he called me last night to say how brilliant they were. Bless him, he isn't their biggist fan but he knows how much I love them so he watched them just to give me the low down. Said it wasn't as good as Glasto, but because its a smaller area its a bit more cosy and you can see more.
Thats all the info I have for now.....

Hey I was there  IT WAS FRIGGIN' AMAZING And also my first KOL concert, so I was pretty excited too... The boys kicked it though! They started out playing Manhattan, I think just to see how the crowd reacted to a new song that nobody could sing along to, and it was brill! And from thereon it just got better and better, and at one point Caleb announced that it was their best festival crowd yet (not sure if he says that everytime? ). having said that they played Crawl (watch it here: www.mtv.dk/mtv/?StoryId=67799&playlistId=104798&vid=254936) ,and put the icing on the cake with Slow Night So Long as the last song (watch it here: www.mtv.dk/mtv/?StoryId=67799&playlistId=104798&vid=254937). Notice how Nathan throws all his drumsticks out - I catched one, YAY  I hope the clips work, so you can catch some of the euphoria that was going on that day |

It was my very first KoL gig too! and it really was AMAZING. i've got those pics up there ^ on my wall haha, bought them at Roskilde. But wait a minute - they opened with Crawl, and then Black Thumbnail and then Taper Jean Girl... Manhattan was one of the last songs, after Knocked Up and before SNSL. I recorded Manhattan btw, i made a thread with the link in the 'share stuff' section |

I didn't want to start a new thread so I thought I'd give y'all the heads up in here. Sky are showing the Roskilde gig live tonight on MTV2 [UK] at 10pm, they've only ever shown it on the hi-def channel so this is a treat. If y'all miss it I'm pretty sure it's repeated next week, but I'll have to double-check to be sure. |
