There's no reason about the fact they didn't broadcast the whole concert... KINGS OF LEON WERE HEADLINING THAT FUCKING FESTIVAL NO MATTER WHAT KINGS HAVE DONE!
That really pissed me off and I'm writing the e-mail... I started it already but I want to do something mean haha! And yes, it's so clear why they didn't broadcast everything because they started with a new song, so the BBC boss got mad about that and stoped the broadcasting, just going back when they were performing a well known song, and the same happened to Manhattan... They probably had the setlist before Kings hit the stage and were prepared to do that! Bastards!
Edit: And the worst for me was the fact there wasn't a radio webcast as told in everywhere before...

I officially hate BBC, ya know. It's so ridiculous!!!
Who are they to tell them what songs they can and can't play? I don't see why they should have an input on what they play, it makes absolutely no difference to the BBC whatsoever.
Stupid bastards.

Look! I got a genuine reply that answered nothing!
Dear Mr *******
Thanks for your e-mail regarding BBC coverage of 'Glastonbury 2008' as broadcast on 27 June 2008.
I'd like to begin by assuring you that this is not a generic reply and I have read and acknowledge the points that you have made regarding our coverage. Indeed I was sorry to read that you are unhappy that the coverage did not include a full set from the Kings of Leon.
I also note that you make negative comparison with the lack of coverage given to the Kings of Leon compared with Jay-Z, whom you feel was unwelcome.
While I do appreciate your frustration, I should also note that Jay-Z was headlining the festival and as such was a main act. However I'd like also like to assure you that I've registered your complaint on our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback that's circulated to many BBC staff, including members of the BBC Executive Board, channel controllers and other senior managers. The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content and all feedback we receive, whether positive or negative, is always appreciated. We also regularly compile tailored audience feedback reports for specific programmes so they can have an overview of all contacts received about their programme/series. If a report is compiled relating to Glastonbury 2008, then your complaint will appear here.
Thanks once again for taking the time to contact us with your views.

Kings were headling too, idiot!!

Oh I just got a response to my complaint. It does not make me happy.
"Dear Mr ******
Thank you for your email regarding our coverage of 'Glastonbury 2008'.
I understand you feel the BBC did not provide sufficient coverage of the 'Kings of Leon' set, and from the coverage provided, we did not include the performances of the new tracks. I note you would like the full set to be provided on the BBC 'Glastonbury' website.
Whilst I appreciate your disappointment we did not broadcast more of their set, we must consider viewers who do not necessarily share your taste in music. We try and provide as broad a selection of artists from this years' line up in order to appeal to our wide and varied audience.
Due to certain rights restrictions, we are unable broadcast or provide the set in full, and the website has been adapted to reflect this, now stating "Watch extended highlights from their set (33 mins)".
I'd like to assure you that we have registered your comments on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.
Thanks again for taking the time to contact the BBC.
Regards
Ross Jubin BBC Complaints"
One bit particularly gets my goat: "we must consider viewers who do not necessarily share your taste in music"
What the fuck? Surely at least the Eavis-es and a hundred-thousand other people in the crowd for the headline act of the day is enough to convince the BBC that it is worthwhile? It's not like I was complaining about not seeing the entire Gogol Bordello set. I bet more Glastonbury fans would want to watch KoL than Jay-Z anyway.
I guess we aren't ever going to see the full set online either.
