I can't believe they showed Jay Z playing live (I'm not sure if it was his whole set but I should imagine it was). But if they did that then surely it would have only been fair to show Kings Of Leon playing live aswell? I complained to them aswell and I got the same reply as Samiton. x

I'm not fully caught up here, but I believe Jay-Z and The Verve's sets were broadcast live (on BBC Three and BBC Two or whatever), but I have no idea if KoL's set went out live on the Friday night?

It was on BBC2 on Friday night with about a 20 minute/half hour delay I think (accurate?)
Only 30-40 mins worth of a 90 minute set though.
Minus some of their better tracks and also minus any new tracks.
= BBC are shite.

I do agree saminton. I don't understand why those idiots were going on about mud or grass or whatever the hell it was they were talking about, when they could have been showing kol

What did he say exactly? Caleb's a frikkin' legend! He said "Now, the people at the 'BBC' didn't want us to play any new songs, so." or something like that lol.

Yeah I was there, Caleb said, " The BBC asked us not to play any new songs, but we're just gonna have to rustle some feathers i think"... And then they broke into Manhattan.

I got a proper reply from the BBC They said.. Thanks for your e-mail regarding our coverage of the Glastonbury festival. I understand you're disappointed that we didn't broadcast more of The Kings of Leon's appearance at the festival. While The Kings of Leon were a headlining act and many people wanted to see their performance, there were so many bands that we felt deserved coverage, that we weren't able to spend as much time with them as we would have liked. They did say more but thats about it that involves Kings Of Leon. x

I got a follow up email from the Beeb: **PLEASE NOTE: This is not an actual email from the BBC, I am just bored at work wasting time so I look like I am doing something productive, when I am in fact talking UTTER rubbish. Please don't hate me for it **

Bullshit. they don't give a toss. if they really felt like that then they would have cut down smaller bands' sets on coverage wouldn't they?

I do not remember Jay Z being cutt off for some old codger to talk about how long it takes for the grass to grow! and for them to repeatedly show Jimmy Cliff when they gave him a full set on BBC4! utter bullshit, they make me soo pissed off!!
