Ethan Johns has been working on the latest Ray LaMontagne album (also due in Sept) - he plays with Ray as well as producing - so he probably wasn't available. But also I bet the Kings were ready to go out on their own a little, away from his influence. This is the first album they've co-produced. Jacquire King has engineered some of their stuff before, on Aha Shake Heartbreak. |
