JARED'S BASS IN MOLLY'S HANGOVER = UNREAL! To be honest, there are a few songs where his bass is wicked, but, listening to molly's hangover last night it really struck me

I think bass is one of the things that makes KOL's sound. without it they wouldn't be them, it's something caracteristhic of them! :]

The boy is a genius. I've never heard or seen bass playing like it in my life.
Crawl and Charmer - are stand outs i can think of off the top of my head.

I don't think many of their songs are very difficult to play, but because they're simple doesn't mean they're not awesome.
I think sometimes the simplicity makes it so great. Although there are some complex songs of theirs.
I agree with Sinéad, too. The bass does literally carry ASH. It's so prominent throughout the whole album.

He definitely makes sure it's loud enough. I don't think any band has their bass any clearer. I can just picture him saying, "Fine, well if I'm gonna play bass, it's gonna be loud as hell!" But really, he's great. I'd say that I've come to appreciate bass lines far more in the music I listen to thanks to Jared.

It's Jared's bass that made me really listen to bass in every other song i here. I think it's cos his lines are always so prominent and good that i always listen out for the bass in any song i here now. It's never as good as Jared's though! And also agree with you Ben. His bass is usually pretty simple but as they say- less is more! And he proves he's brilliant at the difficult stuff too. Arizona is one of my favourites for his bass right now.

I agree with you, and Arizona live when the song ends with the bass just running off (that's how i like to describe it!), it sends chills down my spine!

Definitely no one out today is as great as Jared. I'd have to list him with some of the greats. I'd say my favorite bass line right now Manhattan. First thing I noticed (and loved) about the song.

I read this wrong and thought it said "Jared's ass Appreciation Thread".
Anyways, Jared is an amazing bassist.
