I know it;s been said before but McFearless really does shine for Nathan! I was just properly paying attention to it and his hi hat during the verse when he goes bam bambambambambam then bam and every other time bam bam then starts again. That's the worst use of descriptive words ever but it really is breathtaking. I think Black Thumbnail and My Party show him off too. Whoever chose those 3 to be one after the other on the tracklisting gets infinitive karma x

yeah i like his drumming in use somebody, too! BUT in that dutch interview with jared and matt, they both say nathan used to mess it up in the beginning i think it makes him even more lovely! i also love his drumming in 'spiral staircase'...its so damn fast when i'm drumming on my 'air drums' my arms hurt after the first 10 seconds...so...RESPECT

I air drum everywhere! I always feel the need to do it when I'm on the toilet? Just the second I sit down. Sorry for that

His delicate touches and is it the cowbell I can hear?…(yes I think it is?!) in Trunk are brilliant!
I immediately get transported to the American desert, sometimes I’m either wandering aimlessly down the freeway trying to hitch a ride and other times I’m tied up in the trunk of KOL’s car – as the song suggests….

i love the musical arrangement in trunk too! it's such a fab song! i adore nathans drumming and matts guitar effect...to me it actually sounds like a song played underwater...it sounds so...underwater sorry, can't find the right words to explain! and of corse: i'm sure i hear some nathan oooooooh during trunk, too

It’s a very mellow and easy going song to listen to. You sound like you can’t get enough of Nathan’s ooooooh’s….you and me both Bea

Nathan is an amazing drummer. I particularly love his drumming in Revelry and McFearless.

i love him in charmer! that ain't a rock beat, is it?! it's the same thing in use somebody, he's doing something there, i dunno what, it's like a jazz concept, of applying a beat when it's felt for .. no i dunno what i'm saying but i like it. and wow, was watching that oxegen set and i swear i could not hear anything other than those drums, i'm sure there was a song happening but it was so clear in my ears. ..... it's good. it reminded me of when i heard them play in notts recently. it didn't feel like a standard kinda rock beat when i danced to it. i really like the way it fits. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuUTa6UxqlsBAHHHHHHHHHHH goes MENTALLL!!!!! despite the annoying scratch on the recording.
