Just looking inside the Molly's Chambers single and it says...
KINGS OF LEON:
Jared Followill - Bass Matthew Followill - Lead Guitar Nathan Followill - Drums/Vocals Caleb Followill - Guitar/Vocals
ADDITIONAL KINGS...
Ethan Johns - Guitar, Percussion, B3 Angelo - Acoustic and Electric Guitar
Does this mean what they played on stage for overdubs and such or what?
Surely they didn't do any parts in the studio....

I can't see that happening....I reckon its for when they played the songs live, cos the B side is mollys chambers and red morning light live so...

Yea but when they play live its only the four of them...I don't think that they would have extras playing on stage with them....
Does it say exactly what songs they play on??

I don't know how to explain this to you but I am gonna give it a go....
For the Molly's Chambers single, the 2 "Live" recorded songs are from an actual show they played in Birmingham Academy, June 2003.
Molly's Chambers was recorded in the studio. (Is the same off of the LP) So that would mean Ethan Johns and Angelo played those instuments in the studio for Molly's Chambers.
Does that make sense??

yea of course it does....i understand the 2 tracks are live and the singles obviously off the album...
but where the hell is there a b3 in mollys chambers?
or an acoustic guitar?
and what would they have done in the studio?
the acoustic and electric parts were played by matt and caleb i swear...

yea i spose thats what they played....and all the synth-y parts in Milk and Rememo and that
but electric and acoustic guitars....?
must be the overdubs....
i just thought it was a weird place to mention it.....it doesn't say it on the actual albums does it? i mean what they actually played..

Ethan & Angelo Produced the album. 1st and 2nd albums i believe.
They also helped write and finish off some of the songs. As some producers do!

When recording a album a band has a choice - Record it live, or separately. Live doesn't mean in front of a crowd, it means the musicians are being recorded while they are altogether in the sudio playing at the same time. The other option is to record the parts separately and mix them all together - which alot of musicians takes a bit of the life out of the music. The kings obviously felt this - and so on tracks we're additional instruments we're required, rather then dubb, they had extra musicians do the parts so they could record it live. I don't actually know this for sure, i could be right or wrong - i just deduced it based on what i know about studio recording

im pretty certain its just very little parts which are done in the studio but are not even worth doing on a live stage, the triangle(or whatever it may be) in milk for example.
