Hey guys, Nathan is on the cover of some drummer magazine that I read in the first of November. I have no clue what the drum magazine is called, maybe Drums or Drummer. Anyways if anyone has this let me know.

Thats the one. Thanks. The article is great. Talks about how people would pick him up when he was 12 or so to lay down drum tracks at Sun Studio. He takes you through all BotT tracks and talks about the drum sound he was going for.

I googled it (cos I'm a nerd). "The phrase "in the pocket" is used to describe something or someone playing in such a way that the groove is very solid and with a great feel. When a drummer keeps a good metronomic pulse, often referred to as keeping time, and makes the groove feel really good, and maintains this feel for an extended period of time, never wavering, this is often referred to as a deep pocket. He is a fantastic drummer when you listen to him play he is seamless he just goes from track to track perfectly.

He's great. I don't normally pay much attention to the drumming but the first time I heard McFearless live I was seriously impressed.

I wish! Must admit never taken that much notice of drumming myself before but once you've seen them live you can't help but admire that man. I've also got loads of their stuff live so listen to it a lot (too much probably) so have really come to appreciate what he does.

Pocket drumming is a style of drumming that uses a simple soild beat and has mild fills that generally lack flair and doest get over complicated or too fast - hence the 'i dont go crazy' part. Which is true - nathan isnt an energetic drummer |
