I saw in our local paper (in Pasadena, CA - home of the Rose Bowl) that Jesse Baylin was set to perform at a weekend arts festival in Old Town - a quick glance at KOL's tour schedule made me excited about the little break they have until the Ryman Aud. show on the 18th because that means...she was going to have her biggest fan in the audience! Alas, I had a wedding to go to (and there was NO WAY out of it) and the distance I had to drive was over 60 miles - Jesse was playing at 5:00 PM. So I stayed just long enough to congratulate the bride and groom then zoomed through the L.A. freeways - and got there just in time to miss Jesse's set.  Luckily, she was still there selling and signing her EP's, and as I approached her table...I noticed those unmistakably skinny legs clad in tight straight - leg jeans (and flip flops on his otherwise-bare feet) and there was her hubby-to-be Nate, right by her side. Sigh...I wanted to mention the success of his Sooners (41-31) in yesterdays' game vs. Missouri (6-1 so far this season). But he was too engrossed in conversation with an industry-looking couple, so I just couldn't be rude and barge in. I just stood close by and caught snippets of their conversation - not eavesdropping, just waiting to see if I could grab a chance to chat...but no luck. The couples departed to have drinks in town somewhere...plus I was exhausted from the wedding and the driving...but it was exciting to see a very casual Followill just hangin' with his sweetie (they were so cute together - arms around each other). And Jesse was very sweet...wrote "with much love - Jesse" on my CD. I will definitely catch her when she plays a local small club in town toward the end of next week...  |

Shoot I wish I would have known about this sooner. I've always been curious about her music and seeing as how I live 5 minutes from old town it would have been perfect. Instead I went with my friend to Hollywood so she could find a skanky Halloween costume  |

that's awesome that nathan and jessie got some time together! with all their seperate touring i wonder sometimes if they get time to each other...i guess they do and that's awesome!
btw, what i've heard of jessie's music is lovely! i wish i had more money to make it out to her shows in LA

I went to the show to watch her perform and i saw nathan. it was crazy. i introduced myself after the show and asked to take a pic. He was very nice. I met jessie too she is also nice and has a really good voice. they are a pretty cute couple together. But it was great to meet one of the kings. AMAZING!

What's the name of her band? I would really like to hear some of her music! If someone could send me some, I'll give out my email address if you don't want to post it on here!! And just imagine when they have kids!!! They are going to be so musicly talented!!! I don't know too much about Jessie but everything I have heard has been so good... she seems really sweet which is awesome b/c I think that Nathan is the sweetest guy in the band!!! |

Now you're just torturing me mojogrrl, lol. Nathan Followill was practically frolicking in my backyard this weekend and I was totally clueless! Ain't that a bitch. Do you know the details on Jesse's next show? I think I'm spelling her name wrong because I was almost sure I had seen her myspace music page once upon a time, but now I can't find it. Is it Jessie or Jesse Baylin? |

YAY.. I don't need anyone to send me her music.. I found her on myspace!! Moonagedaydream.. I couldn't find her either and is spelt Jessie Baylin.... which I had right so I don't know it isn't workin but when I couldn't find her I yahoo'ed her and it had a link for her myspace page and it's: www.myspace.com/jessiebaylin also.. if you want to look at her pics you have to be signed into myspace... so if you sign in and copy and paste this link into the search part.. you know, where you would type a bands name in if you were looking one up.. and put it on the myspace tab.. where as if you where looking up a band you'd put it on music. Sorry if you already know all of this.. I'm not sure how familiar you are with myspace!! Anyways... hope this link helps!! |

Also.... I just wanted to say that I really like her voice!!! It's definitely not the type of music I normally listen to... but still very good!! I think that she could be the next Jewel! I don't necessarily mean their sound b/c I don't think they sound too much alike but they kinda have the same feel... anyone else agree?  Jessie's music is definitely something I'd listen to if I was having boy problems lol (and so are some of Jewel's songs)!! You girls know what I mean!?!? There's just a certain type of music that you want to listen to when your man pisses you off!!!! And I just have to say that I am retarded! I had to modify my last message like 3 times b/c I'd either spelt something wrong or left out a word... I waited till AFTER I posted it to check it, which obviously should have been done before I posted it!! lol Anyways.. I'm not sure why I felt the need to share that but I did!!!
