for those who cant read it..here's the story

hey guys, my old username was monacocouture. I stumbled upon this thread and am glad I did. I've seen the boys three times live. The first time in 2003 when they opened for the strokes and again this past august in ashville, nc and again oct. 8th in charleston. I met them for the first time in ashville, and they were really cool guys (well I met all of them but Jared I asked Nathan where Jared was and he said "Jared's scared of the ladies" *yeah right*) and when I saw them again in Charleston I danced my ASS off at the concert, and during Soft Caleb looked right down at me smiled and winked. I met them after the show and Nathan came up to me and was like you were at our show in Ashville at the Orange Peel. And I was like YEAH I was, I cant believe you remember me. I felt like throwing rose peels on the club floor and getting down with him then and there, lol. Then I talked to Caleb and he said "Thanks for dancing." To which I lamely replied "Oh hey man no problem, I dance to you guys all the time at home when no one's watching." And he laughed. Then we danced for a bit to Tupac, he even taught me some of his "dance moves" which involves mainly line dancing and a whole bunch of boot-kickin.' I later went back to their bus and hung out with them until 6 in the morning, doing, er, things shall we say? Out of all the guys, Matts the sweetest. Hes very shy and quiet. Really sincere. Jared's a bit cocky in a young boyish way. He's gorgeous (even hotter in person) And he knows it. He also dances. ALOT. Very white boy dancing. There was this 45 year oldish drunk as hell groupie on the bus and he looked at her and was like "Look at her. She has a mommy ass. Mom!!" Then he did this little jig behind her that looked like a mix between Ashlee Simpson's notorious panic jig from SNL and Ciara's choreography in the Goodies video. We had a sudden death match together playing Miami Vice, in which he repeatedly yelled "Kill that ho!" at a prostitute. Nathan is the most chill. We smoked together and Im not quite sure what we talked about. I remember him poking me on my stomach alot, and me pulling his ponytail. He then called me a saucy wench. Then asked me to pull it again. Caleb, is surprisingly shy and akward. There was this groupie on the bus and she was like gunning for him and he just kept making this goofie, face at her. And he was like "Youre not gonna leave me alone until I fuck you are you?" And she just gigggle drunkingly. He also mutters "Oh lord" alot. Me and him talked a bit about the British hype and music and such. At one point Nathan put on that song Im not sure of the title but it goes: "Get out of my dreams! Get into my car!!" And Caleb was like "This is the only song me and my mom can agree on!" Then he did a little dance. I got to sit really close to him and at one point he picked up my legs and set them in his lap and gave me a kiss. Which was weird. But lovely. Also I dont know how much you guys know about the ubiquitous Nacho, their cousin/roadie, but he's a riot. All in all the guys are awesome. They know how to show a girl a good time!

They're pretty flippin cool. I'll go through them one by one and describe them the best that I can! Warning, this is extremely LONG...

Nathan- Weird. Okay, he's just odd. He tries to act reeeaaallly serious and then he'll do something weird outta nowhere like pull your hair, or lock you in the bathroom on the bus (that wasnt very funny...) I left my camera in a the back room of the bus with him to go get some water and when I got the film developed the moron had taken pictures of himself. I was like what the crap. And he's really chill (he enjoys his weed, and wants others to enjoy it too!! ) He almost reminds me of my older brothers, the way he kinda poked fun at me. Sidenote- ALOT hotter in person. Pictures dont really do him justice.

Matt- Hmmm...this is difficult. You dont really see much of Matt unless he wants to be seen. And he hardly talks. I was sitting outside the venue in Charleston a while before the show started, and I see Matt and Jared walking to the bus in these ridiculous hats, carrying their instruments and Matt was laughing really loud at something and when he saw me and my friend looking at them, he stopped and fumbled his way onto the bus. (?) After the show me and him talked for a while about Bright Eyes, and groupies (there was this one NASTY looking girl eyeing him really hard and I whispered to him "Dont fuck the girl in the green" and his response with the look on his face was so funny. He looks at her and looks at me and says "Oh hey c'mon, give me a little credit!" and I asked if they were gonna take a break from touring after being on the road for the past 2 years and he was like yeah, but first we get to go to Brazil at the end of October, and he looked so excited his little face lit up, and then he said "after that we're going on a two month break, so thats pretty cool" And then he bummed a cigarette from me and was like "it was cool talking to you" Aww...later on the bus, I noticed he had a weird fetish. Theres these sliding doors that cut the bus into sections, or kinda like rooms and the WHOLE night, Matt would open and shut the doors over and over, and just laugh. He was kinda stir crazy, he wouldnt sit still, he just kept going from room to room! Maybe being the only non-brother in the band has screwed up his sensability...

Jared- the BABY! Okay, this kid is hilarious. I could just sit back, not say a word to him and just watch him and be completely entertained. The shit he does is so funny and off the wall. Needless to say he's the "sexiest" in the band, the pretty one. Onstage he's captivating. The way he moves, bends, struts, it just kills me. I had to stop myself from screaming "WILL YOU HAVE MY BABIES!!!" because I was standing in the very front, RIGHT in front of him. There was a couple of times I just held my heart and shook my head, I wanted to do the whole "I'm not worthy!" thing. So, cut to after the show. Everyone's hanging out at the bar, groupies are zeroing in one who's doing who and for some reason they have this disco ball up on the club floor and who should I see go under it and start dancing? Thats right, our very own Jared. And his dancing isnt normal, its this twitchy, gyrating hybrid. I dunno, I cant really decide. The closest I could get to it would be the dancing sequence in Napoleon Dynamite, and Ciara's Goodies video It truly has to be seen to be believed. Back on the bus, Jared amuses himself by dancing behind people's backs and running away when they turn around. It was obvious he was the youngest one, he seems somewhat preoccupied with looking 'cool.' He's got the cigarette constantly in his hand, almost like he's posing. He took my camera and took a picture of one of the nasty groupies. He was like "Who's camera is this?" I was like that's mine and he said "Well your camera has herpes now." And he rolled his eyes at the girl. He and I got to talking a bit and he invited me to play video games with him, which i did. Grand Theft Auto. And then he danced some more, and we split a pack of M&Ms. He said that he wanted to get a belt with his name on it. I was like Um that's nice. And he said no no not just my name spelled normal, Im talking 'J-Red.' I almost gagged on my redbull. I didnt know if he was kidding or not, so I was like "thats pretty lame, you really shouldnt" and he just smiled (so if you see any pictures in the future of him sporting this belt, know that I tried to stop him!) Weird kid. He asked if I wanted to take some pictures with him, (what did he just assume I had a massive crush on him? ) And i was like oh ok, so my friend took a picture of us and he was like 'no I dont like how I looked in that one, do another one' and he ends up making us take like 4 pictures of me and him. He's only 19, so he's young and cocky and you can tell hes really into the fame, the models, the money, the recognition. bleh....

Caleb- ahhhh caleb. My love. The. Most. Akward. One. Okay, I have a hard time figuring him out. *puts on thinking glasses * He's akward and weird yet cool and smooth at the same time. Does that make sense? Onstage his a bit intense. He sweats alot, falls to his knees, contorts his face, throws his microphone (he almost hit my friend in the nose, when he realized how close he came to knocking her out he mouthed "Im sorry" while they were leaving the stage) After the show, Im sitting with my friend and two girls we met during the show. The two girls see Caleb and go get pictures with them, but I was really scared (yeah Im a big dork, I know) and when he's done with the girls, he looks at me and smiles and we walk (well, I tripped) over to him. He immediately apologized to my friend for almost impaling her and says "I played this one show and I hit a girl with the microphone right in the nose and after the show she comes up to me and asks me to sign her bloody nose" We both were like "ewwwwwwwwwwww" So nacho, the crazy cousin/roadie comes over and they start talking about some of the craziest enounters theyve had and Caleb was like "there was this one guy who wanted me to fuck his wife" and he looks at me like hes waiting for a response, so I said "How debaucherous!!" like really jokingly judgementally, and he says (and you could really here his southern accent kick in!) "I did not have sex with her!" And for some reason I had some kind of annoyance in my system towards him, I dont know why so I said "Yeah? According to the British media, you would have." And he just looked at me and blinked and I felt really stupid, I was just annoyed at all the sex rumours and supermodel this and supermodel that, I thought he was gonna yell at me. I was kinda looking around for a quick exit and he was like "Do you guys wanna hang out after this?" I of course took him up on it, and me and my friend resumed sitting on the bench (Maybe I have an active imagination, several times during the evening had would look over at me and we would lock eyes and he'd smile.. ) He walked by me a couple of times and danced (very smoothly, very nice) and he later taught me how to line dance,which was super awesome. On the bus, he kinda just sat really small by the window, clutching his beer and looking around at everyone really warily. At one point, Im sitting next to him and he says hes scared of going bald. I didnt know what to say, so I patted him on the head. We talked for a while, he kept me amused by dancing. Nathan put on that song Get Out Of My Dreams, Get Into My Car and Caleb was like "This is the only song me and my mom can agree on" and he's dead serious while he dances with himself. He talk some more, honestly we were on that bus from 12am-6am, I have hardly ANY recollection of what we talked about. I told him I was moving to New York on Nov. 1 and he was like "we're gonna be up there on the 3rd. we should meet up!" I took that with a grain of salt and was like "yeah, sure, ok." and like ten minutes later he kissed me. Yup. It came outta nowhere, I wasnt flirting with him, I didnt have my mind set on hooking up but, he just kissed me. And i couldnt really enjoy the moment because the whole time i was thinking Im kissing Caleb Followill...maybe i should get a picture of this.... Hmm would that have been tacky?

But yeah thats my diagnosis of the boys. Four crazy guys from Tennessee....

I just find that level of fawning over them buttock-clenchingly embarassing. People write about them as though their every movement has a far greater significance than it actually has. It's no wonder they don't want women for more than 10 minutes, you'd be sick to death of them gazing adoringly at you.

I'm a cynical old cow, aren't I? She's probably 15 years old and she's thrilled to have met her idols. I retract my mean-ness. Good on her.

*nods* I know, it seems ridiculous to make a big deal out of every tiny little gesture but I have to admit that if I was in her position I would do the same thing - you just can't help it. And it's the silly little detail that people want to know about - just what they're like when they're kicking back and relaxed.
