I didn't mean to come off angry, lol. But it just frustrates me when people demand music to be absolutely perfect.

Bloody hell, so clearly your perception of art is something which doesn't break any boundaries or challenge convention then?
Without people doing artistically inventive things you wouldn't have 'the White Album' or 'A Clockwork Orange' etc, etc.
I'm not saying the screeching is an amazingly innovative step, but it ain't the rock equivalent of rapping either. It's just doing something which is new to them, and it works with the song itself, so it's just a question of taste. You don't like the song - fine. I can't stand Trani - it bores me to tears. I'm not gonna dismiss it as rock equivalent of an RnB power ballad though.
(this is directed at DayOldBlues by the way)

I think they have just got more polished and so therefore has Caleb's voice. Back in the day of YAYM, they had a raw edgy sound, that has just matured over the years. But I still think he has one of the best voices in music today.

don't get me wrong its the only KOL song I hate, but to me its like this. Its something I could see some people who don't apprecaite music at all listening to saying its the best kings of leon song ever, ect. when to me musically and lyrically theres so many better songs. Its annoying to me its not music. Screaming to me is not music, its the rock n roll equivalent to rap. Any idiot can scream and any idiot can rhyme over shit that takes pressing a button instead of actually learning how to play an instrument. I doubt many people can pull that scream off perfectly every time they play live like Caleb does.

well when I think of music I think or instruments and singing not screaming not synth either. Artistically I think it's in bad taste and I have every right, its not that I believe things needs to be so conventual. I'll be the first to say that the people on here have different musical interests, but are together on the fact that Kings Of Leon is great.
Like I don't like snowden, I don't like Charmer, Like I don't like heavy metal and screamo I don't like Charmer.
People don't scream constantly in favorite music, they may not sing as well to others ears (Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, ect.) but they don't scream. I just find it in bad taste. I have that right.
Think of it this way I'm a kid but my taste of music is rooted in the blues. I'm old in that regards, but it's not that I don't break out I just don't goes as far as screaming.
