There's an article about Kings on a dutch magazine called OOR that's from June and with three pages!





But well I don't speak dutch and definitely can't understand no dutch word written. Does anyone here can help me telling about the most important stuff there? I'd really appreciate

I've translated a small piece which I find rather funny.


"Nathan about dealing with all the gossips that reaches their family:
It’s all exaggerated. Because our family knows us better than anyone else, they don’t pay attention to it anymore. They know me and Matt as two nice guys who stay away from coke. But then you read an article about us sniffing an entire mirror with two super models in a bar.
Then they know that A: Matt could never get a supermodel, they’re both for me and B: We don’t do coke. That’s it."

Poor Matt . The article is mainly about their gig in Manchester. The OOR keeps repeating how popular KOL is in England, but that they are really cool about it and that they're very down to earth.
They're also talking about their tour with U2, Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan.

My pleasure. I translated a bit more. But the rest of the interview isn't that interesting anymore. Sorry if my English isn't quite as it should, but I tried .

Nathan (drums, the eldest) and Matthew (lead guitar, the cousin) hear our compliments leisurely, but are more interested in what happens outside. We are in a four seats-bunk of their tour bus, that’s parked next to the Manchester Apollo. Through the mirrored glass we are invisible to the groups of fans that are hanging at the artist entrance, but we get to see some entertaining scenarios through the huge window. ‘It’s like having a huge plasma screen with reality-TV.’ Nathan says, while he sees his roadie disappearing backstage with two blond girls. ‘That’s Nacho, another cousin of ours. He’s with us since the beginning. When we were tired of giving interviews, we used to give him the phone, so he could tell the whole story. Nobody ever noticed, haha.’ A guy who is clearly tipsy presses his nose against the window, Nathan waves at him but we get no response. The voyeuristic level of the movie Sliver is nothing compared to this.

‘We wrote this record while touring with U2.’ Nathan begins. ‘A time full of impressions and ideas, of half full mega halls and endless roads. We’re used to that last thing our whole lives, but we have gained some experience during this U2-tour. I found it amazing to perform in those huge stadiums and halls, although people weren’t coming for us. Normally we would never even perform there.’ One can wonder whether it’s a grateful job, playing in front of a ‘strange’ audience, knowing that you’ll never be able to set the roof on fire.
‘That’s bullshit’, laughs Matthew, who is usually very quiet. ‘Being able to open for a show like that is way easier than a headline-tour like this one. You come out, do your thing en you’re out again. That’s it.’

Hahaha God are they really able to do this? I'm shocked but I totally understand and I love the fact Nathan is clear-headed.
