I was driving into town and heard fans played on the radio, this instantly put a smile on my face.
I parked my car and whilst walking, passed a guy wearing a KOL t-shirt, this made me smile even more.
While shopping I heard KOL “blaring” out of HMV, such a coincidence I thought.
An hour later, I met up with the girls for lunch and KOL was playing in the pub, by now I’m really smiling (not sure if this was the wine or the fact I’ve come across the Kings 4 times already today!)
On the way home I stopped off at the Supermarket and had a chat with a random stranger about where he could find Q magazine. This was followed by a lengthy conversation about how KOL are the best band in the world.
The day ended with a phone call from a friend telling me about this great song they keep hearing on the radio………………… by a band called Kings of Leon!!!
I can’t believe it, the Kings are taking over the world!

hah KOL overload! you must live in the UK, i'm guessing? where i'm from, you're more likely to be killed by a falling tree than to come across anything kings of leon related.

Haha, when BOTT first came out HMV liked to play it shuffled with the latest Good Charlotte album, so I found myself weaving in and out of the shop all day for Knocked Up and Black Thumbnail and then running out in anger at GC. They played Fans on the radio at college on monday and I grabbed the radio, turned it up to full and went "Hey everyone better listen to this beasty song." and then my taste got insulted a bit but I stood guarding the radio until the song had finished. The Kings do seem to be taking ove the world.. not that I mind

Think I may have converted 1 or 2.

the KoL convertion needs to start immediately! That was such a good story sarah! I love it when things like that happen Isn't it amazing how these songs sound better on the radio than on ur cd player? I think it's the excitement of hearing them on the radio and knowing that the KoL love is speading, that makes them sound so much better

HAHAHA thats so funny but seriously, what a bastard. you should've loved that guy under your shoe. did jared actually do something? and ahhhh! i heard "on call" at OLD NAVY, of all places. i was seriously so excited. i can overlook the fact that old navy usually plays the latest american idol tracks because they seem to have seen the light. besides, if mom and pops top 40 old navy can play them, then there is hope for all of america! actually, "on call" was #2 on my local radio station's people's choice charts last week as well, so maybe things will look up!

I would have taken his car and hidden it somewhere in town. Probably somewhere with a "no parking" sign and "clamper's active" sign. Surely you can't be done for theft if he's just given you the keys and asked you to park it somewhere?

To my amazement they were playing 'Because of the Times', which is a dramatic departure from when I worked there. I had to endure bloody Jay-Z, Fifty cent and other such bollocks. Then ventured into Selfridges which is just round the corner, and Kings of Leon were blaring out! Good shopping was had by all.........
