i heard them bout 7 months ago, but i knew about them without hearing them for ages, for some weird reason.
Suprisingly it was 'On Call' that really got me into the band and i started to explore their other material. I think it was the atmosphere in On Call i was drawn to, it reminded me alot of the atmosphere on the tracks from my favourite album - 'Who's Next'

Now I'm 19 and I was 14 or 15 when I got into them (around 2003 with Youth and Young Manhood).

I think it was in 2002. I was in 8th grade so I reckon I was around 13, I'm turning 19 in July. My friend let me listen to their first EP before Youth and Young Manhood came out and I dug it, but I just thought they were some local band that weren't really going to make it. Then I saw them on Jay Leno or some show like that and my faith was renewed and been going strong ever since!

I love everything about him and promise to throw myself at him if he ever tours the US again. So...karma for that..and welcome.

Thanks! Yeah I'm kind of madly in love with Jarvis as well. I can't tell you how excited I was to see him in the Harry Potter movie! If only he would tour America, I would be all over that ;-)

Well, everyday when I would get home from school in 8th grade, rock countdown would be on on MTV2, and I remember turning on the TV one day and seeing the 'Four Kicks' video and thinking "who in the world are these people" and "he looks really cute in that shirt [later finding out it was Matthew]" But anyways, it was on for like a month everyday after school, and that's when I became a fan, and I'm a junior in HS now.

hmmm, it was quite a day at summerfest last year, and my cousin and i sat in the front row at some small lame concert, and remained in that spot until ten at night, at which point the kings of leon came on and i became an instant fan, and have been addicted ever since. and let me tell you, i felt completely lucky to be front row, dead center and listening to some fucking awesome music. wow, sorry, i was sixteen.

I was stage right for that show...but my future (and now ex) boyfriend was dead center, probably right near you...smoking up a storm no doubt. Ugh. Anyway, that show was amazing...it made a bigger fan out of me too, which was tough considering how much I already loved them. It was the first time I ever saw them live.

while i was studying in the UK, i heard Molly's Chambers on Radio1 when it first came out, and i instantly thought to myself "i've never heard such a voice before". I borrowed Youth from a classmate and that was it, hooked I liked how u could tell that they were American and manly and independent , just from hearing their tunes (i couldn't undestand half of what Caleb growled ).I didn't have a sleeve to put on the cd i burned so i found this promo christmas card they handed out in Odeon Cinemas. I still prefer to play that cd than the original p.s. i was 17 , now 22 and back home in Greece

When they played The Rave this year? Yeah I was there...front row right in front of Jared, haha...I ended up going to see them in Minnepolis the next day (though they canceled on me) and then Chicago the following day. I think Chicago was the best of the three shows I've seen so far, but Milwaukee was pretty great too, too bad Caleb was so sick, he looked like he was in pain.
