How does Caleb acheive that twangy, rocky guitar tone, as far as amp settings and equilization. I know he uses an old Gibson and Vox amps, but how does he have this equipment set? Thanks for any help.

Every amp and guitars gonna be different.
But I think as a general guide line..
You'd probably want the action on your guitar to be quite low and fast.
Crank a fair bit of gain on with the amp.. But turn the volume on your guitar down a bit... This'll make it dirty, but it'll leave you with a well defined string sound as well.. So it doesn't just sound like, sludgy metal riffs or whatever.
the treble, bass and mids are really hard to judge without knowing what kind of amp you have (I'm not really all that good at guitar.. So maybe someone on here will be able to help better)
I used to have this little Peavey 10" thing.. and I had the gain on 2, the treble and mid all the way up, and the bass all the way down.. And that sounded pretty cool.
umm.. anyway... Try having the bass around 6, the treble around 7 and the mid around 7 as well or something....
just plug in and keep like ripping the shit of a B barre chord.. and use that to guide your ear.. and tweak it from there.
I dunno... Hope this helps.

Any other guitar players out there have any clue about amp settings and EQing?

Splits n' high kicks thanks alot man i wanted to know this as well. Its what Splits n' high kicks said but am i right in saying Caleb usually playes through a vox? he uses an old gibson yeah. although i read somewhere, youtube perhaps, that Caleb traded in his vox. all you can basically do is spend alot of time tweaking to get the desired sound. sorry that wasn't very helpful but thats all i know regarding Calebs sound

Aha.
Definitely a valve amp here with that sweet post amplifier break up - definitely very little pre gain going on here, very unsaturated compared to many modern tones - no Mesa-Boogie-esque shit going on here. A Gibson or something with some low-ish impedance humbuckers - a hollow body of some sort would definitely help. It's all in the amplifier here.
Definitely a Vox or little Fender tube combo would do the trick - someone said one of the guys uses a Ampeg Reverb rocket which I'm sure would be suitable. But who can afford any of those anyway..

Yeah yeah. He had a VOX AC-15.
But all the new photo's I've seen he's playing a Matchless amp.. Which has all the same components as his Vox.. i.e same pre-amp tubes. same power tubes etc etc.
but I guess he's just using to because it's more reliable.. I think sometimes those Vox's might struggle a bit and break down when you're carting them around the world all the time.
Plus it's pretty fucking small, and they play on some pretty big stages these days

CALEB
GUITARS: - Gibson 325 1972’ AMPLIFIERS: - Vox AC-15 - Matchless DC-30 PEDALS: - Boss TU2 Chromatic Tuner Pedal STRINGS: - D’Addario Chromes Strings 12’s PICKS: - John Pearse Studio Medium if you watch the black thumbnail vid on youtube you can see hes using a Matchless instead of his usual vox. gives a slightly more dirty sound
